Knee sleeves add a shitload of ease to squats at the bottom.  Wrapping knees even more so.

I was wrapping up for every heavyish set to get around a previously bad knee earlier on this year and when I discovered just how shithouse I was without them, I stopped using them.  It was always the same thing, I'd do warmups up to 120kg and then that would feel a bit rubbish on the knees (although I think a lot has to do with warming them up when you're over age of 40),  I put 140kg and wraps on and I'm a new man, I'm basically back to squatting about 80kg and then up we go from there.

Eventually your knees catch up to some degree but jesus, they are probably the best lift increasing equipment.  I'm sort of back up to whereabouts I was now, but it'll never be as easy at the bottom as sleeves/wraps.

The thinnest are basically just warmers and very tight fitting 7mm is almost like wrapping your knees.
I used to have problems with keeping the knees in straight line and those warmers help when you can better ” feel ” them and keep them on line.
