You could do that before Amazon, too.  Next day shipping is not anything new.

Really though, is your life so hollow so as to be improved by getting widgets faster?  Seemed like people were plenty content before the advent of Amazon.  There’s more to life than consumerism.

It has nothing to do with consumerism. It has to do with ease.

I can buy toilet paper at Walmart or Target or I can order it from Amazon and have it delivered the same day. I’ll go with Amazon.

You can buy online at Walmart an Target as well. But I agree, the Amazon site is just somehow more convenient. I've bought a ton of stuff from there.

They are.

90 days pay + severance package.
That's better than some people who get no severance package.

I'm completely fine and I'm not confused at all.

I'm concerned about you and how you're not getting it.

In the future world, Amazon will the only business in the world to buy things from. Every store will be out of business. Amazon will be the only place to buy groceries and get gasoline (Amazon gas stations). Amazon will have mini companies under their umbrella: Amazon landscaping companies, Amazon hardware stores, etc.

If you need anything, you will only be able to buy from Amazon. Goodbye grocery stores, goodbye malls, goodbye Christmas tree lots. Good bye and good luck. Jeff Bezos will buy out and own every company on earth.

Amazon ruling the world as the ONLY business on Earth will NOT be capitalism.
I doubt it. That's a single point of failure. There will always be other grocery stores.

Good point. How many cell phone companies are there in the US?

3.  T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Are options better today than it was 15 years ago?

I’ve had toilet paper, a book, water thermos, and pens delivered to me in the same day. You’re just not getting that level of diverse products delivered in the same day from any other company. It’s quite impressive what Amazon has done.

I buy most things from Amazon. It’s just convenient and sometimes cheaper.

I can have toilet paper delivered the same day without leaving my house. That’s a win for me!!!

I have no loyalty or allegiance to brick and mortar businesses.
Hopefully you aren't completely out of TP before ordering. ;D
