EAS MRP's???
« on: May 06, 2006, 10:33:35 AM »
I got two boxes of the MyoPlex Light, Vanilla flavor. Quick question, are they supposed to be so thick?!?!?!

No matter how much water or milk I add, they dont seem to liquify any further, thick as f u c k. almost nauseating.

Normal?

Yeah, I noticed that, in addition to being way to sweet, the EAS MRP's are so thick that they make MetRx look like water. Go with Labrada next time.

 I concur!

LaBrada MRP's mix very wll as do LeanMass Matrix by Prolab. It seems you need at least 24oz of fluid and let it blend for like...90 full seconds to get it to blend well...

No problems like that with the latter mentioned.

I cut mine in half and replace with just protein powder for that reason.

Good point, but I do like the texture and taste it gives to my concoctions and sometimes it's just easier to use something like that to get to the ratios I want (protein, fat, carb).  Actually, I like Optimum's MRP's much better.  I use the chocolate (packet cut in half) with ON's choc protein powder, psyillium husk, my powdered greens, a splash of carmel sugar free syrup blended with ice and water for an inbetween meal shake.  The chocolate masks the "green" taste, although the greens I use are fairly 'mild' in terms of "green taste".

Myoplex & Myoplex Lite are still the old formulas, which are thick as pudding.  The new Myoplex Deluxe and Myoplex Sport (formerly Myoplex Mass) are both reformulated and instantized and not nearly as thick.  I actually preferred them when they were super thick - filled me up more and stayed with me longer.  They felt more like a real meal.
