Big and freaky are two different things
Both Ferrigno and Platz had similar thigh measurements, but only Platz had freaky legs because of his bodyweight. Freaky is really about genetics and the illusion.
Zane was not big but was freaky given his bodyweight. He had 18+ inch arms at 5'9 185 lbs. with a 29 inch waist and thighs at 27. Arnold had similar 27-28 inch thighs at 6'2 240 lbs. with a 33 inch waist.
Charles Poliquin said you need to gain about 10-15lbs of bodyweight to increase your arm size by 1 inch. So Zane at 5'9 230 lbs. would be rocking 22-23 inch guns, rivaling Ronnie at 290 lbs. with legs to match and a smaller waist.
There is some SEO stuff going on now so measurements mean nothing but from pure bodybuilding genetics Frank Zane is the biggest freak.
Zane's genetics at 5'9 250lbs. would be the freakiest thing ever seen on a bodybuilding stage.
Those measurements are not accurate. Arnold never had a 22 inch arm and Ronnie never came even close to 24.
