Is it true his spine surgery was botched at one point and that's why he can't walk?

The only other Ronnie legend I read about once was at an event and Ronnie had a table set up in the hall to sell videos and autographs. And he had a banana on his table. Well, a fan met Ronnie and supposedly touched or made contact with this banana. And Ronnie's security goon reprimanded this fan and told him "Don't touch the champ's banana!"

I think he misheard him...

I saw Coleman earlier this month at the Los Angeles Fit Expo.  He had a booth, was sitting there, greeting fans, signing autographs, and doing photos albeit all with him sitting.  He appeared to be in very good spirits.

To me, it is almost painful to see him in his current condition; his motorized wheelchair, his thin legs or arms taped up (I assume to prevent swelling).  It's like one of those "you could never ever believe what this man used to look like compared to what he looks like today."

As for what I would do if I were him, I don't know. I might go away and hide forever so that no one would ever see what I look like today.  Or, I might do exactly what he does:  get out and interact with the fans and provide each a moment of enjoyment.  And perhaps it provides him a lot of enjoyment as well.

Shawn Ray said Ronnie neglected the doctors order and decided to work out anyways despite letting his back recover and broke the screws from his back

Ronnie is in constant pain and can barely walk. How much can he really get out of life?

He takes a lot of painkillers so that leaves him with only the walking problem.

I'm just keeping it real, no need to paint him as a warrior enduring great pains. Drugged out of his mind

The guys an idiot plain and simple, compared to someone like Jay, Shawn, Dorian who were meticulous in their training, nutrition, gear usage, knew what they were putting in their bodies

Ronnie didn’t know shit, he was just doing as told, big fucking moron. Human experiment, knew nothing about diet, gear, nothing. A guru guided him 100 percent and he still didn’t know what he was putting in his body

How was Ronnie not meticulous with his nutrition or training? His diet was similar to all the other bodybuilders you mentioned. The lone difference may be VOLUME. Ronnie didn't eat just 2 or 3 chicken breasts. The ENTIRE surface area of his place was covered in chicken (tenderloins, from all appearances). He had one separate plate for meat and another for his carbs.

BTW, Jay Cutler had TWO nutritionists throughout his career: Hany Rambod and Chris Aceto. Does that make Jay DUMB? Was Jay "just doing as told" or a "big f-----g moron"?

And knowing nothing about training? You can't be serious!! This man is repping with weights that are maxes for most IFBB pros. Try 200-lb dumbbell presses with near perfect form....THAT'S A SHAWN RAY IN EACH HAND!! ;D

Being DUMB is knowing you need help but not getting it. Ronnie Coleman was anything but that. One could argue that Shawn Ray was "DUMB", because he was told how he needed to improve but didn't do it until it was too late. Had he competed at 210 or so in the early 90s, instead of waiting until the late 90s and 2000s to do so), he would have beaten Yates (especially in 1994 when Yates looked relatively awful) for a Sandow.

Had Ronnie retired in 06 (entirely) age 42 he'd probably be like Jay Cutler is now. but Ronnie after leaving the stage  kept the abuse, that nonsense eating, amount of food, juice and also a bottle of BBQ sauce daily and much garbage ..... swinging weights, crappy form and blood pressure trough the roof.......

Most of our champs/idols are more irresponsible than we like to accept, if they can hide their health issues or crumbling before our eyes then they had an "elite worth ethic or a very good coach "....

Same goes for Kevin Levroneeeee and Flex Wheeleerrrr

Ronnie said in a video his pain is 11/10 in severity. Can't be a good life. I like him but that sucks.

Medication does not necessarily touch all pain. Flex Wheeler decided to amputate his leg because no medication helped according to him. Unless you are like completely rendered unconscious. Reminded what the surgeon told me after my bicep reattachment. They used "twilight anesthesia" and apparently when they were almost completely finished I had suddenly screamed, "holy fuck it hurts!" and they had to increase the anesthesia and manually ventilate me. No memory of that, which is typical.

Bevo can clarify himself, but I don't think he was saying Ronnie wasn't meticulous or couldn't follow instructions. It's about whether you sort of understand what you are doing technically. It's like the difference between a bodybuilding coach giving you a bodybuilding diet who then pulls carbs out of it to keep you losing weight and a schooled actual licensed nutritionist who understands what happens in the body in response to a diet (are Hany and Aceto nutritionists or "nutritionists"? For example, do they make you sure your diet contains sufficient magnesium or whatever it may be, covering all the necessary bases?). I saw a clip of Mike O'Hearn getting pissed at a guy whose heels kept getting off the footplate as he was doing hacks. You could say Mike "knows" how to train, yet not. He's so stupid he doesn't understand the guy's heel can't stay down because he doesn't have the ankle flexibility. You can be a complete moron and still eat chicken and rice and lift dumbells.
