I think life comes full circle, when you are younger (20s-30s) you try to be as serious and professional as possible (because thats what youre supposed to do), but as you get older and experience some things in life (be it ups and downs, setbacks, deaths etc) you start to appreciate life differently, and the more childish sense (that appreciates life more easily and can find humor in simple and silly things, just like you did in your teens) start to come back in your 50s and 60s.
Maybe as a way to cope with loss and death in some cases, and in other cases just that you don´t give a damn anymore (like you did when you are so serious and professional and cared what others thought about you).
I for one sure miss the 70s and 80s, life was much more fun back then!
