The Biden DOJ sat on these files for four years while Biden was in office. If Donald Trump were directly implicated in sex trafficking—on the level of Jeffrey Epstein—why did Merrick Garland take no action?
If the evidence were real and prosecutable, Democrats could have pursued Trump aggressively and permanently ended any chance of him running again.
It’s also worth noting the timeline:
Epstein was arrested in 2019, while Trump was president.
Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested in 2020, also during Trump’s presidency.
Yes, Trump appears frequently in the files—but he was a celebrity who moved in elite circles and hosted large social events at his properties. Epstein and Maxwell were regulars in those circles. That alone does not establish criminal guilt. Epstein was connected to an enormous range of people—business leaders, politicians, royals, and celebrities. The sheer size of his contact list makes “guilt by association” a weak and lazy argument.
At the end of the day, emails prove little beyond hearsay. No one is going to be prosecuted without a clear paper trail—financial records, deals, payments—or credible witnesses tying Trump to trafficking or criminal activity. There are no corroborating witnesses backing up Epstein’s emails.
Maxwell may know more than she has disclosed, but her testimony alone would not be sufficient to prosecute anyone unless it were backed by concrete, independently verifiable evidence.
Without actual tangible proof or bodies waiting to be dug up. There is simply no case.
