This is referring  to singing talent.  Take the nineties trilogy of Mariah, Whitney, and Celine.  The raw talent is there.  They don't need auto tune.  There is no question that it's actually them on the recording.

With J Lo, it's not even her voice on the recording.  They take another artist vocals and don't credit them for them.  Jenny from the block is not her voice, it's the woman in the video below.  J Lo is basically a Milli Vanilli and there are many other Milli Vanilli's out there.
