If I go out at midnight public transport will be stuffed with Muslims coming from restaurants. I went to an Iranian grillhouse at night during Ramadan once, insane feast and gluttony after dark. I don't know if that's quite the idea with Ramadan, I think it's supposed to be about thinking about the poor and avoiding sex and jacking of and so on. No one is losing weight during Ramadan, quite the opposite I think.

Dangerous time of the year. Often there are around 20% more attacks by camel people during the ramadan period compared to other months.
