All of this was inevitable after Oct 7th.
Of course you could keep going back in time and find instances of aggression from either side.
But that was the straw that broke them and it was inevitable this was not going to stop.
But to side with the regime that executes its citizens, backs Hezbollah, etc is f'n retarded.
I'm sure you've seen the suspicions and allegations that Israel knew the attack was coming. Charlie Kirk thought there was a 'stand down order' on Oct 7, the idea being that if the attack was really bad Israel would have its excuse to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians. I think some IDF have said they were told to stand down. I saw something about some female IDF at the border warning that the Palestinians were preparing something; Turkey warned of an attack as well if I'm not mistaken.
It is also alleged that Israel wanted Hamas in power so they were justified in killing Palestinians regularly. It's a fact that Bibi approved of payments to Hamas to the order of tens of millions a month, handed over in suitcases full of cash.
I'll never make excuses for brutal repression of citizens and killing of 'regular' folks. I'm sure they do evil stuff there but at the same time I sort of try to put things in perspective. A while ago there was a story of an Iranian wrestler being put to death and it was put forth as an example of the evil the regime does. Coach did on this thread. I said the regime convicted him of hacking to death police officers with a machete or sword or something during the
peaceful and organic protests. Coach said, "that's good that he did that."
Hezbollah is great for Israel too; much easier to annex Lebanese land for the Greater Israel project.
And if the Iran war is won nothing much is resolved. Next up: Turkey and Pakistan.
