The US executes its citizens "routinely," there is a death penalty in some states for serious crimes. Coach posted about a wrestler having been executed by the Iranian regime. Furthermore, during various US protests Trump has wanted to put military against them and also to shoot at them. The missile shortage has been argued by external bodies like for example the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). So I'm giving you both the government and non-government sources which have made me think (best guess) the shortage is real. For your information the production capabilities of the missile factories is public information which is why it's possible to give a good estimation. You think Trump not selling Ukraine more missiles is because he doesn't want to fund a losing war. Is that why Trump wants Ukraine to build the PAC3s on license? Is that why Trump postponed deliveries to Japan and took out Patriot systems from South Korea and Europe for the middle east? The US dislikes the losing war so much American generals are directing the war from Wiesbaden Germany. It's also involved in targeting of missiles and drones shot deep into Russia. The interceptor systems etc can't be operated without American boots on the ground. These troops are called individual volunteers and mercenaries.
