Scott Bessent announces Operation Economic Outcast against the Islamic Republic of Iran

"We are launching an economic onslaught against Iran's financial connections around the globe. Our objective is to sever EVERY economic lifeline that sustains this tyrannical regime until Tehran stands alone"

"Treasury has mapped every node, every facilitator, and every network that Iran has used to smuggle oil and evade sanctions."

"The final refuge of this regime is a mistaken conclusion of nations that still finance the Iranian threat in the hopes of evading it."

US sanctions announcements now land like UN condemnations. It is a toothless tiger. They have produced no real effect, even as the dollar weakens, the petrodollar erodes, and the bond market drifts sideways. The Iran bombing is a massive fail from my perspective.

It didn’t improve lives for 99% of Americans. That’s for sure.

Serious question: would you be for nuking Iran?
Let's be honest, the Japs have made an amazing recovery after we introduced them to the sun. Maybe that's what Eeron needs, a little sunlight to lead the way into the 22nd century?

It’s like when you lay naked and let the sunlight hit your taint. Yes, they need the sunlight on a larger and more concentrated scale. Let’s give it to them.

Incidentally, I watched a Bas Rutten video regarding Conor McGregor where Bas said Conor can't quit now as most fighters want to quit while on top. Except the Japanese, they quit when they start losing, they don't have that same ego. Iran may have a different mentality and might not quit even after a nuke. Who knows.

Maybe this will change his mind? :D

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/iran-puts-out-propaganda-video-tracking-barron-trump-s-location-offering-10-million-for-his-assassination/ar-AA2aPPK2?ocid=msedgntp&pc=HCTS&cvid=6a8cc0b264ad41d9b30b0646beadf344&cvpid=b90f992cd1404c8580df74955d17d294&ei=7

They are certainly baiting him. I don't think they want a nuke and most likely calculate it won't happen for several reasons but they want military action before the midterms. I think 65 days before elections in Israel and 72 days before midterms.

"The Guard also released videos of Trump being killed by an aerial drone on a golf course."

That certainly rattled him as could be seen in the pic of him on a golf course surrounded by a missile launcher and concertina wire. You think there are sleeper cells among the half million Iranians out there in Tehrangeles? :D

It's weird right, the general public and media is not privy to all sorts of information that the government is. So I would imagine there was some sort of credible threat that caused them to bring those toys out. Maybe even a FU to whoever(Eeron) may have been sending credible threats?
I think if there are terrorist cells out here in Los Terhangeles, they should keep it to themselves, the blacks and browns don't like outsiders and they know LA is soft on crime. ;)

I thought they had that Kamikazee mentality. Or you classify that as quitting?

I don't know man, I'm no expert on Japanese mentality, just relaying what Bas said which I thought was interesting.

Someone please click the video and just tell me if it starts at 0:38? I tried "copy at current time." He mentions the Japanese mentality.

You know when they wheeled him out in that lunch cart, apparently they had Israeli intelligence about a threat which U.S. intelligence classified as "low confidence," i.e. it looked like baloney. It's easy to suspect that Israel may manufacture threats so they get Trump to do what they want wrt Iran. That plane switch thing is bizarre, which if true, meant Trump was ready to sacrifice Lewitt, Rubio, Bessent, Stephen Miller among others. On Trump's plane was Hegseth, his suspected nurse diaper changer/mistress Natalie Harp and his golf caddy :D

I was mostly kidding about sleeper cells. I don't know if you have associated with expat Iranians but I think they all pretty much hate the regime and they are generally very liberal and irreligious, I think. Of course it's better to be safe than sorry, especially after the few security failure assassination attempts.

Bas said they're not afraid of physical pain, "pain don't hurt" for them. What little I've seen of for example Pride MMA they generally never quit in a fight and will take any pain. MMA fans correct me if I'm wrong. So they are fierce and no cowards but have no ego when they are utterly defeated and can no longer win.

Remembered this:

"Battle of Saipan in July 1944, hundreds of Japanese soldiers and thousands of civilians jumped to their deaths from Banzai Cliff and Suicide Cliff rather than surrender to U.S. forces."

I doubt all ethnicities would have reacted the same. Suicide would be a sin for a Christian anyway.

We'll see if the economic d-day war on Iran will break its spirit.

I haven't followed the happenings these past few days but some days ago Pakistan's Asim Munir, Chief of defense forces, reportedly delivered a message to Tehran from Donald Trump: open the strait fully and we'll end the blockade. Iran said no thanks, go back to the MoU agreement instead.

Seems to me if the war had been won, dozens of times already, there would be no need for economic war.

If Iran was really worried it seems to me they wouldn't be goading Trump into more kinetic action and would actually be begging for a deal.

Pentagon said there's probably no use rebuilding the 15 or so abandoned US middle east bases heavily damaged by Iran. Some win, this.

This is a silver lining. We shouldn't rebuild anything there we should just leave.

Serious question: would you be for nuking Iran? Previously Trump has been a strong opponent of nukes. I'm sure the second order effects would be extremely bad and would for sure cause nuclear proliferation in the middle east. Saudi, Turkey, etc. Pakistan already said many years back that Saudi already basically has it through them if they "need" it.

Regarding Japan. I've heard historians say there was no need to use nukes, Japan was losing. But I'm sure some disagree. I also heard that the second bomb was totally unnecessary but they wanted to try a second type just to see if it worked as well. Morally questionable to say the least. Some would say pure evil.

Obviously PragerU is Israel-centric so they would of course say "it's the price of peace" to advance Israel's interests with some little tiny tactical nukes.

Have you seen the documentary The Fog of War?

Robert MacNamara was the Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1968.  He talks about bombing Japan and whether it was necessary after burning Tokyo to the ground with fire bombs.

Sure but how likely is a retreat? To me it seems like Trump can't win and he can't leave either. Only bad and worse options on the table. Of course I can't know how it will all play out in the end.

The Iranians know the kind of bad spot Trump is in and even if there was an agreement and a little lull in hostilities the war will resume at some point. Many speculate the war will commence after the midterms. Iranians seem to want it now instead.

Many who think Trump needs to crush Iran say this absolutely needs some level of ground invasion, but as Trump said, he doesn't think Americans "have the stomach for it."

I don’t think we’ll get an official acknowledgment of a retreat. It’ll more likely be a slow winddown with intermittent hostilities until the public moves on to the next big thing. The outcome has been obvious for months. If we were going to invade, we’d have done it already. Unless he’s holding off to time it closer to the midterms for a better bump.
