There were periods during Sergio, Arnold, Haney, Yates and Ronnie when they were just head and shoulders above everyone else and if they came in in basically decent shape with no injury it was always a battle for 2nd. The magazines tried to hype things up, but come contest day everyone knew this.
I saw Haney/Gaspari at their peaks in late 80s in Columbus, Gaspari was amazing, but Haney was easily the winner.
