Both of these are true.  You will lose weight.  But you will only end up a smaller fat person.  That is what a lot of people who are using these meds are finding out.  That the weight loss is always fat.  You still need to eat and prioritize your protein to preserve what muscle you have.

Of course, the general public only wants to see the scale numbers go down.  Saggy face be damned.

True - if you never workout - yes you will look skinny fat. But I still cycle 4-5 days a week (2 of them interval days) and lift a rotating split every other day, 3x days a week.

I lose about 1.5 pounds a week skipping breakfast. Its no big deal as i was never a big breakfast person anyways. I've lost 11 pounds since April and want to lose 10-15 more, putting me at about 190-195 when I'm done. Then I stay lean until the holidays and back it goes, hahaha.

I don't count calories btw. i used to but then started question my life :)

And of course because it’s a rumor and conspiracy theory you’re going to post it

Yes I warned it was a rumor in advance. It's not altogether negative, it would be very interesting if his medical team thought retatrutide was right for him. There's not necessarily anything wrong with speculation either in my opinion. And this forum is called gossip and opinion not objective facts FFS LOL.

This goes off topic for this thread but since you've been against speculation and rumor so much, and how we can't really know-know anything, most everything you see on media like Fox News is speculation as well. Say they have some former general or insider opine on the Iran war that's pure speculation as well since he's not present at the negotiation table or whatever, no? It's not at all that you're against speculation and rumor, it's the angle I'm coming from. That's it. If I speculated in a way that ridiculed Dems and libtards you'd have no problem with it.

Steak & eggs is my favorite breakfast. Loaded with all the protein and fat you need to not get hungry again until late in the day.

Poliquin used to say breakfast should be just fats and protein, like eggs, meat and nuts. To get the right 'stimulated and alert' neurochemistry for the day LOL. There might be something to it.

There was a study that claimed that eating a breakfast without quick carbs made you more attractive LOL. Not kidding.

I feel fantastic throughout the day after having carbs at breakfast. In particular, a bowl of oats in the morning seems to control my hunger all day.
I'll have breakfast at 1:00 AM and then a small snack at about 4:00 PM.

Yeah responses vary, though oats could be really "slow" carbs, depending on:

Quote
AI Overview

The Glycemic Index (GI) of oats depends heavily on the level of processing and how they are prepared. Less processed, uncooked, or cold-soaked oats have lower GI scores (causing slower blood sugar rises), while highly processed and cooked or instant oats have higher GI scores.

Glycemic Index by Oat Type

Steel-Cut (Irish/Coarse) Oats: ~50 to 55 (Low)

Rolled (Old-Fashioned) Oats: ~55 to 60 (Low to Moderate)

Instant (Quick-Cook) Oats: ~75 to 80+ (High)Impact of Cooking and Uncooked Preparation

Uncooked oats (like those used in overnight oats soaked in milk) break down slowly. Cooking oats with water or milk gelatinizes their starches, making them easier to digest and raising their GI

If someone wanted to avoid getting tired from eating they could also take some tyrosine while avoiding lots of high glycemic index carbs. Tyrosine would suppress serotonin while increasing adrenaline and dopamine. Heavy carbs increase serotonin which is sedating. Tyrosine competes with tryptophan for uptake :D

Quote
Carbohydrates don't contain tryptophan, but they are crucial for brain serotonin conversion. When you eat carbohydrates, your body releases insulin, which sweeps competing amino acids into your muscles. This gives the amino acid tryptophan exclusive access to cross the blood-brain barrier and convert into serotonin.
Quote
Yes, tyrosine and tryptophan compete with each other.

They are both Large Neutral Amino Acids (LNAAs) and must use the exact same transport protein (the LAT1 transporter) to cross the blood-brain barrier.

This competition dictates how your brain builds vital neurotransmitters:

Neurotransmitter Production

Tyrosine is the building block for dopamine and norepinephrine.

Tryptophan is the building block for serotonin and melatonin

 :D

As Lyle McDonald used to say the man was very intelligent but his articles and claims were really ridiculous at times. Like eating plantains or removing tooth fillings made someone gain 20lbs of muscle overnight or whatever.
