Yes, history will be made at Resorts World this weekend as 50 athletes compete in the first, Enhanced Games where PEDS are encouraged.  The sports are track, swimming, weightlifting and strongman. One of Trump's sons is an investor. So is some rich Saudi.  I see the vision.  It has the potential to be huge. Unfortunately, no tickets are being sold. It's invitation only. But it will be on many social media outlets.

Those enhanced games look far more honest to me. The olympics are one big hypocritical money-money-money circus.

In some olympic sports professionals can compete, in others not. Drugs testing is a joke, and has always been. Every olympic games are declared "the best ever" and "the cleanest ever"

The IOC is highly corrupt, same for the big global soccer organisations UEFA and FIFA

The secret to having records fall is finding the genetic talent. All about the genetics. A big pool helps. Getting them started very young also helps (child abuse via brutal training and/or drugs). I once read the Chinese chose children to train by looking at the hair on their forearms, the more hair the more potential in strength sports (supposedly). The Chinese also torture the children by beating them with sticks while they are training. If you have a country with strict child abuse laws and cultural aversion to being harsh on kids, forget about leading in certain disciplines like gymnastics. Drugs help but talent is much more important.

But I can also appreciate its merit when it is used as a form of semantic nuance to convey emotional sentiments that are hard to define, or to describe a rough approximation of something else. Take, for instance, Shizzo: a kind of pig-like creature whose pathetic attempts to maintain sobriety were kind of entertaining in the way that witnessing a disaster sometimes is.

I liked Jack Kerouac's neologisms In On the Road he didn't use proper punctuation either.
