You’d think by now, if he had any acting chops, he could get one of those “elder statesman” type roles in a Viking movie or Conan movie.
All kidding aside, the fact that he was not cast as He-Man in the new Masters of the Universe movie is concerning. I don't know if he even auditioned for it, but if there ever was a moment for him to finally land a big role in an actual movie that would be shown in theaters, this would have been it. He needs a new agent if he didn't get him an audition for the film.
Or, perhaps all these B-Movies that he has been in, have been funded by him. Maybe he bankrolled these low budget films so he could act in them and live out his acting dream. Or did he donate money to the film production company and was allowed to have a small role.
He claimed in an interview that Weider personally called his father when he was a teenager, and Weider told his dad that he wanted him to come out to CA and be a Weider athlete. And as his story goes, his dad immediately helped him pack, somehow had a U-Haul ready to go with no notice, and let him drive out to CA without saying goodbye to his mom. And when he got to CA he became interested in acting and that acting has always been his passion.
He idolizes Arnold and I think that in his kooky mind, he considers himself the next action superstar like Arnold was. There must be someone at Gold's who has been helping him get small bit parts if the scenario of him funding the films himself isn't accurate.
