You can tell that Arnold body wasn’t ideal for squatting. Those were all half reps. Lou Ferrigno probably had to do half reps too.

Yeah. I watched some videos about Arnold’s warped psychology. Very disturbing.

Franco was Arnold’s friend, but Franco was not like Arnold. Franco didn’t enjoy seeing people lose. Nor would Franco seek to sabotage someone. I once read that Franco’s wife didn’t like Arnold. Arnold said it himself; he had no problem giving Franco bad advice. In front of the world, Arnold said that Franco was a child.

Franco was worse than Arnold ,
During the filming of Stay Hungry they invited lots of bodybuilders as extra and dear friend from the East coast traveled and trained for over a month with all the top guys , Franco acted as if he was as famous as Arnold completely full of shit ...

He was in location in most of Arnolds 80's movie  (Conan) and since he wasn't really needed there most people (bb fans would have access to him)
a total douche ..

Isn't it weird he was NEVER friends with Zane, Boyer, Waller, Robinson Katz etc you hardly ever heard anyone saying something nice about our Sardinian champ ...

Same after the 81 Olympia, back in Cali, he was treating most fellows bbers like shit like he was above everyone specially Padilla Platz (the younger ones) ...

At the later years, at the Olympia He would go backstage during the Lee Haney years thinking he was more important than Lee, lol  trying to steal the spotlight rather than helping the sport or giving back
He was lucky he died right before the metoo" movement as well
He has more Salvadorians, Guatemalans and Mexican maids under his belt than Arnold and took advantage to put it mildly

He was as money hungry as Louie he just didn't have enough fans to be exposed

WooSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I remember back when Lou Ferrigno was in the " Celeb Apprentice", he proudly said "I have both hips replaced." ..

Trump looked at him and said " that's why I don't bodybuild" .... Louie twitched twice and left the room.

Lou Ferrigno's journey to win the Masters Mr. Olympia after a 19 year retirement. Arnold of course is interviewed...and he discusses the folks who enter the Mr. Olympia who don't belong there on stage. He recommended there should have been "The Losers Contest" for them.

Ferrigno did this movie because according to himself, he left Pumping Iron unfinished", A Documentary about Arnold and Louie fighting for the Olympia tittle and at the very last minutes Serge Nubret makes an "unexpected entry" and beat Louie!! that was so painful to him it took him 19 years to recover.......

So, finally he decided to make Stand Tall ' a documentary about Louie and Boyer Coe fighting for the first Master Olympia ever, and.....at the very last minutes Robbie Robinson makes an unexpected entry and beat Louie .... this time was more embarrassing because both the check and the trophy had Ferrigno's name already on them....so Robbie the thief couldn't cash it for some time

More to come .

Yeah I noticed that. Interesting how the camera didn’t show him from the hips down during his “squats”.

Do you think Arnold hated Lou all along and got a sick pleasure out of him losing and getting frustrated about not winning? And could have been calling the shots behind the scenes to ensure he never won to ensure he always had entertainment?

Lou looked amazing, he should've won, Robby only had better arms, and maybe a better v taper, that's it, Lou had a much better chest and traps and overall mass

Bodybuilding could have been elevated if Arnold actually said NICE THINGS about people.

What good did it do to insult Vince Gironda’s gym on camera?

Without Arnold "Bodybuilding" would all be also ran guys like Franco and Robby and Ferrigno and Mentzer. and Zane and Zucollotto and Coe.  Arnold was the Jesus of Bodybuilding.

This was in 1994, over 30 years ago when Lou was 44 years old.  I think of "Masters" as old dudes, but they were still Fucking babies, spring chickens then.

We were all so naive compared to today's world with the likes of such gassed 7 ways to sunday competitors as Hanky.

They're "babies" by todays standards, but 30 years ago a 40 year old bodybuilder was considered a dinosaur to be anywhere a competitive stage.
