Interesting info. Eggs range from $2.50 up to $17.00 around here. It’s sickening!

I've always had suspicions that Big Egg had the potential for nefarious behavior.

Insane price. How many per day, will you eat all of them before they go bad? I bought 6 eggs today :D

Such a good source of nutrition but I tend to get sick of them quickly. Even just 1 egg a day would probably be a good idea, should try to make it routine :D

I got three dozen eggs for $1 last week two weeks ago at Key Foods. That three for a dollar, not a dollar a dozen.

Full disclosure: The "Best By" date was June 29th. But, my family and I downed most of them well before that date.

I’ve eaten eggs 2 months after the ‘best before’ date. They were fine.

Eggs don't last quite that long in my house, especially now that my teenage son is looking to put on a little more weight. ;D

But, getting those eggs that are about to "expire" dirt cheap is a blessing indeed. ;D

^^^^Great deal....I normally was buying mine from my neighbor across the road for a dollar a dozen but a fox killed a bunch of his stock so he`s rebuilding.... so pretty soon........organic free range eggs for a buck a dozen and the yolks are a super bright orange.

If it was my neighbor I would buy some of this algae to give to the chickens LOL.

Excessive info ahead:

Quote

Astaxanthin eggs are produced by feeding laying hens a diet supplemented with astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant naturally derived from microalgae. This process gives the egg yolks a rich, reddish-orange hue, increases their total fatty acid content, and boosts the eggs' overall nutritional and antioxidant capacity.

Astaxanthin fortified eggs have a creamier texture and improve the storage stability of omega-3 (DHA) enriched eggs by preventing oxidation. Studies have shown that supplementing hen diets directly with free astaxanthin is the most efficient way to retain the antioxidant in the egg yolk. Notable producers of astaxanthin-enriched eggs include brands like Nuyolk and OnZen Eggs

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring, red-orange pigment belonging to the carotenoid family. Often referred to as "the king of carotenoids," it is a remarkably potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound produced by microalgae, which works its way up the food chain to give marine life—like salmon, shrimp, and lobster—their distinct pink color.

Why Astaxanthin is Unique

Powerful Antioxidant
: Astaxanthin is renowned for its exceptional ability to neutralize free radicals, with some studies estimating it can be significantly more potent than common antioxidants like Vitamin C or Vitamin E.

I'm using it in another form. Bodybuilding related: British steroid guru Brian Batcheldor really rates it, as the Brits say 8)

I will have to review the class action brief from Brian Hanky Esq.
