Derek has been using an E-Stim Machine during his workout. Will this give him an advantage? Should we also be using this during our workouts?

Someone 5 ft 6 or 167.5 cm "tall" should be automatically disqualified for the Olympia. In practically all sports athletes have gotten taller since the 1970s

Exceptions are bodybuilding and gymnastics.

It blocks pain but also makes the muscles its hooked onto contract. I had it on my back to loosen up my lats and it was incredible.

I'm so happy the shorter men have been winning the Mr Olympia
Shows good judging & its not the Mr who's the Tallest.

His lats look puny without the prosthetic he wears on stage.

It's a physique competition, right?  The question the judges try to answer is: "Who has the best physique?"

How can you argue that height and stature have nothing to do with physique?

Muscularity aside, short people tend to have stubby limbs and an unavoidably poor head-size-to-height ratio.  Even the ancients knew how important this was, with Gods and Heroes depicted as being nine heads tall, and average humans about eight heads tall.  (IRL they're usually around 7.5.)  Lumpsford is much more childlike, probably somewhere between six and seven.

...He just doesn't have a heroic physique.  He looks like a jacked goblin or morlock.

Guys like Barry De May, Strydom, Arnold, and Lou Ferrigno are much closer to the ideal.

Opinions vary - Clearly you've not seen Padilla / Franco / Benaziza
/ Labrada / Ray to name only a few
