Kettlebell training
« on: May 08, 2006, 10:46:51 AM »
Highly recommended.  I just bought one and i'm using it for cardio training in the a.m... Really emphasizes your hips and helps with explosiveness.

Anyone else use them?  What is your routine?

This is what i've been doing:

1x10 2h swings
1x10 1h sings
1x10 cleans
1x10 snaps
1x10 figure eight hand passes

If you've never used a kettlebell you'd be amazed at how quickly they make you sweat, great for a.m cardio if you don't have access to a piece of cardio equipment at home.  Takes about 15 minutes too.

The motion used to swing the bell is exactly the same as an over/under belly to belly suplex, and also similar to "kazushi" in Judo.  I can see it being very applicable, but as you stated I have obviously not seen a change yet.
