Wolves
« on: August 27, 2026, 11:30:22 PM »
In the last few years there's been a rapid increase of sightings of Wolves in my area & they are starting to come into built up areas. I was watching this video & was amazed that the hiker turned his back to the Wolf, was prepared with a spray but still what if he met say 3 of them... :-\
I only saw 1, once when out running in the woods but it was a fair distance away & definitely was aware of me as it turned & looked at me. It wasn't scared & stood side on & turned to look in my direction so wasn't shy.
Has anyone else had say a bad experience with wolves?

I'd break its spine like a German shepherd. Wolves ain't shit, just punch them out cold. It's chimps you need to worry about.

It looks like a juvenile curious about what a human was. My experience is that if you face a she wolf with cubs, no pepper spray will save you.

you've been releasing wolves into your area for years already donald. it's just that they turned up in sheep's clothing at the Die Linke office when you were stamping their applications and offering them free hugs. and to think i used to fancy you  :-X :-X

I always laugh when i read that Wolves are shy cuddly creatures from people who think they know what goes on in a wild animals mind  ::)
Meat eaters & highly intelligent hunters who will attack if they think they have a good chance
Man has hunted them for many years & for a good reason.

Years ago I had a neighbor on a farm that had a wolf hybrid dog. If you have never seen one you will be shocked- incredibly big and extremely strong. He had to keep it on a very thick chain. In the end it was pretty stupid to have a "pet" like that- it was so aggressive- even down right scary.

The dog eventually jumped from a second story barn loft, where the guy kept it, and it strangled itself on the chain. The urge to be free was too strong- I even think the animal committed suicide.

I read that a Wolf has a larger head & a larger brain than a dog.
If they are more intelligent i can´t say but they do have a cunning from their genetics, not to be trusted at all. a dog you can in most cases trust fully if a pet but even when out jogging or cycling i was never once attacked by a dog with owners.
The kangal dog owns them though

lol seriously.

The classic story of little red riding hood snuggling up next to the wolf. Or the one littles pigs befriending an outgoing and adventurous wolf….

At least in my country, wolves avoid human contact. If you happen to face them when hiking, the story might be different, eventhough when you spot one, he has spotted you 15 minutes ago, and usually walks off before.
