Then you know Priests and Pastors aren’t rich. You know the Churches and dioceses survive on tithes. They don’t drive expensive cars if they drive at all. There is a mandatory retirement age. One of my Catholic mentors and closest confidant was a Dominican Priest. Even though he had his own show on EWTN, wrote many academic books, papers and studies on theology…he lived and passed away at poverty level.
Going to Mass great. Going to a Catholic university is great. Not sure what did after you went/graduated but if your teachings stopped and you stopped going to mass right after that it probably means you weren’t open minded and wanted to understand more especially with over 2000 years of history

As I said, if you find belonging to an organized religion gives you solace then keep at it.
Human beings like to belong to groups. It's a tribal thing.
Churches, Rotary, Elks Club, etc.
When I was a kid the priest at my church drove a Cadillac. Not all believe in poverty.
Perhaps he came from a well-to-do family.
As far as wealth, you didn't answer about the wealth of the Vatican and why they hang on to it instead of distributing it.
