The study estimated that Texas would stand as one of the states hardest hit by a $25 minimum wage, losing roughly 831,289 jobs. Pennsylvania is estimated to lose 295,473 jobs, followed by Georgia (253,708 jobs), and North Carolina (250,000 jobs). But Democrats are all in for the bill.

It is like if you have a company with 4 people making 12.50 and hour and the state forces u to pay 25 and hour.  The company will usually decrease their staff to 2 people instead of 4.

It's not even automation, they'll send it out of the country. Why should I pay a local vendor $100 when I can send it to China, have it made and shipped back to the US for less than half? It's difficult to justify those costs. Robot costs are coming down as well but those are all made in China too.
A huge problem is that at some point, liberals decided that every job should be paying a "livable wage". Remember when high school kids worked fast food and retail in order to learn job skills? Now it's a bunch of blue haired, face pierced liberals whining about how hard they are working and how they deserve more.
