Getbiggers are jealous of Pete Hegseth's power and strength.

NGL, if someone can bench 135 lbs for 40 reps they can bench 315 lbs for 1 rep for sure

pamith is using the epley formula.

This shows he understands what a number is, and can probably count.

We will update and adjust his database profile a bit.

So I can do it for well over 100 so how much can I bench 650? 135 x 40 to me is prob a 250 give or take but sometimes not even that. It’s endurance with some strength butt it’s so light you can’t really gauge strength with it on bench or squat or dead.

Did you see Hegseth catch a workout with the army and how he was trailing everyone, even some women? I think it's fair game to clown him after all his talk about leading by example and how under his leadership they don't accept any wimps, how they'll be checking everyone's testosterone. Someone called him Low T Pete LOL.

100% true.  LOTS of people can do dozens of solid reps with 135.  Very few people who look like Hegseth -- totally skinny guys /w zero muscle -- can bench 315.  The average competitive PL in the 82.5/83 kg class benches ~275 pounds, and almost all of them are more muscular, lift with better technique, etc.

This is Roy Mason at 76 deadlifting #480+. Never benched over a #110 at a meet. Never squated much over #300. Never weighted over #165 in competition -

.

Roy was a trucker, his training was lifting things around his truck, and doing deadlift tricks while he preached occasionally at his church. Claimed God told him to deadlift. He routinely deadlifted 3x+ bodyweight in training and competition.

------------------------------------------------------
Suleymanoglu made spectacular lifts while looking like a kid -

.

------------------------------------------------------
Etc.........

Lots of people can be spectacular at one lift naturally. A #315 bench is a good lift not a spectacular one.

The top 20-30% of powerlifters in his weight class can bench that much, lol.

Also, I know that I've posted about this before, but the deadlift just doesn't have as much to do with muscularity.  I've seen people with absolute shit-tier physiques deadlift tons of weight.  I've actually never seen anybody in my life bench 315+ at 180 pounds, ever.  Let alone guys who look like Hegseth.  (Skinny, long arms, zero upper body muscularity, etc.)

Actually Hegseth looks more like a deadlift specialist, come to think of it.

There was a dude I went to college with, he was probably 5’8 and 175 pounds and not super jacked, in a shirt you’d never really know he was a gym rat. This fool benched 405 at a meet we had, blew everybody out of the water body weight wise. Started with 385 and I’m thinking to myself, this dude is going to fault on his first lift.

Also one has to look at Hegseth's training age. He played football in high school good enough to hold a few state records at one point. He also played basketball.

I think he played college basketball all through it

His military career is noted for his love of PT and Crossfit. He enjoyed so much it was used against him in the media when Trump picked him.

He's 46 now, let's assume he starts benching at 13-14, which is the age many start thinking about high school ball..... That's 22 to 23 years to get a hard #315.

--------------------------------------------

On the powerlifting front, I put him as a 82.5 / 181 class lifter, although that is probably a few pounds light -

https://www.openpowerlifting.org/rankings/82.5/usa/men /

https://www.openpowerlifting.org/rankings/raw/82.5/usa/men .

There are literally pages of guys way over #315 just in the US.

Also, that is not a competition bench press. He'd be called for butt lift certainly. I've seen others from him that probably could get called for uneven extension, bar not under total control, foot problems, etc.....

This was a gym quality hard bench for him, and he probably got it.

Seriously hegseth looks like shit. 135 for 44 that’s Sally shit. Maybe if he curled it 44 times we could talk
You do realize that only 40% of the men can lift 135 once.  People are very weak.

I think faking the lift would be too much work, too many involved parties keeping their mouths shut. Like why even bother?

I benched almost 315 at 16 with almost no visible muscle, I think I weighed about 190lbs.

The 50th percentile is 258 pounds.  75th is about 300.  315 at 181 is very respectable -- it would be a good lift for a competitive powerlifter who takes the sport seriously -- and just about everybody who can push that weight can also squat and deadlift pretty heavy.

I don't think he'd be in a heavier weightclass, by the way.  Just look at him.  Very very skinny guy.  I'd say he has the arms and legs of a lighter weight class, actually.

Many here have called me retarded. Psychiatrists haven't given me that diagnosis but perhaps they are shielding me so as not to hurt my feelings.

I'm sorry bro.

But seriously, there's an obvious explanation: This skinny guy's whole persona is based on doing PT and being "a badass."  He needs some sort of physical feat to his credit.  Fake bench is the way to go.  Without some sort of impressive physical feat, or even 15" arms or whatever, he'd be a complete laughingstock.

Reminds me of Himmler, actually.  Himmler really, really wanted the "SA Sports Badge" in gold or silver -- he literally obsessed over it, to the point where it became a joke -- but because he was a deskcel he wasn't able to obtain one.  He eventually took the test again with hand-picked judges and got the silver badge.

Don't forget that these are very vain people.  They're not normal humble gymrats.

I know bro. But consider the risk to his reputation if he's found out.

He didn't even fake this workout everyone is clowning him for. I mean it's not impossible he faked the bench but I lean towards BB's assessment. I may be retarded but I don't think BB is LOL. Everyone including me thought the E was a 10 on the Rogue plates. Think about the hassle of making fake Rogue bumber plates. They got money, but still.

He always has bad form, it's his thing ;D. This other bench looked grindy too, they're hard for him, so hard he can't keep his butt down on it either -

.

I also think some are being too hard on him physique wise -

.

He looks reasonably solid here, certainly better than low-mid #300s bencher Blaha -

.

Also just because I never saw it -

Blaha looks like shit but has literally twice as much muscle and outweighs him by at least 40 pounds.

Hegseth looks totally untrained.  Even in that cherry-picked shot, lol.  Look at that brutal 12" arm

Yes but again I did almost 315 at 16 before any hormones and with smaller arms than Hegseth, just absolutely demented lifting for 2 years LOL. I mean my arms were as big as Hegseth's after a ton of hormones :'( Petey boy is on HRT guaranteed and probably took an Adderall or a line of coke beforehand :D

I've known a lot of natural IPF lifters and at my first real gym when I first came in and he saw me benching a meet judge told me, translated something like, "your body is completely wrecked by tons of juice." Before I touched anything LOL. It was unusual but I have shit genes for anything so other kids could have done better. Lifting has been a complete obsession for 40 years so I think I have a pretty good idea about what's possible 8)

Edit. robcguns is the bench king here and rob if you see this I'm wondering what you did natural, age and bodyweight, that sort of thing? 8)

He always has bad form, it's his thing ;D. This other bench looked grindy too, they're hard for him, so hard he can't keep his butt down on it either -

I noticed I lifted my butt too in that pic I posted :D

Later I learned to lock in my body on the bench so it never came up even trying retarded failed maxes. That's one curious thing about Hegseth's lifting, if he can bench 315 and is this old how come he hasn't learned better technique? I mean his legs were flailing all over the place with the 135, like a total noob :D

Because he doesn't normally bench and it was a fake lift?

He doesn't look like an experienced lifter at all; his benches are shit, and nobody's ever seen a squat or a deadlift or even a curl.  He looks untrained, like a Microsoft employee who does light cardio at the company gym a couple times a week.  In fact there are surely a few of those guys who actually have better physiques!
