Trump just approved Lindsey Graham's sanctions package on Russia but now he voids it and asks U.S. oil companies to lift the sanctions.

Clearly the diesel deal was because of the upcoming elections; I'd guess even you would admit that?

It would make no strategic sense for Russia though. Zelensky really needs something, it's looking very bad - 2 whole months would allow Ukraine to stockpile weapons, repair energy infrastructure, would save them from the guaranteed horrible coming winter. Klitschko again asked Ukranians to leave Kiev so you know it's real bad.

Russia has reiterated again and again that they will not agree to any ceasefire. "We need to solve the underlying problems," their exact demands are well known. I'm sure they won't budge.
