waist measurement
« on: May 14, 2006, 11:56:35 AM »
was just wondering what a normal waist measurement was, Ive always had a large waist, not fat, abs, but large oblique and wide waist, i hate it because it willnever give me a huge v taper, however since Ive started to train a little more seriously Ive noticed my pants fit tighter, i have however lost body fat, does this make any since?

Yes, you are gaining muscle if your diet is fairly clean.  All of us have weaknesses to hide and you can get a V-shape if you keep training with constinency.    If your waist size isnt fat, then your ahead allready. ;)

for me if my waist goes over 34 inches i feel im looking fat hence the diet im currently on...  :-\  30 1/2 inches and im lean but thats me. I try to keep it around 32-33 inches.

How do you know you've lost fat, have you had a test done?

Goudy is right, it is not your waist, but legs and ass. It doesn't take much gain for clothes to feel tight.

My waist is 31-32 depends.  But I sometimes will wear 33 or 34 waist is certain style jeans.  Your ass will automatically add to the size.

I have the same problem.  Before i started cutting my quads were 26" and i was having to buy trousers with a 36" waist :-\
God knows how guys with 30" quads find trousers ???
