just read this over at the mm board...
Eric Otero - RIP
Just got a call not too long ago confirming Eric Otero, IFBB Pro, was found dead in his bedroom.
That's all I can say for the moment.
Eric turned Pro in 2001 at the NPC Nationals. Eric Otero was one of the most impressive of the show. The judges couldn't get that one wrong. He was a complete package from all angles with almost no room for improvement. Eric was capable in planning his workouts and his diet. At the show that year, he peaked at the right minute on the right day.
Eric was a master at timing competition preparation.
Eric was 32 years old when he turned pro.

I know that alot of people have used the "advil" excuse, but I have a friend who is not even a bodybuilder that went to the hospital feeling dizzy, and found that he had bleeding ulcers..he is just a normal corporate guy who was working for worldcom when they went under, and was stressed out real bad and having headaches. He was eating ibuprofin like 4 at a time 3 or 4 times a day, so even though you hear people blaming other things on Advil...you still need to be careful about how much of that stuff you take.

Why blame Bob? Judges are rewarding that over the top freak look and not everyone can achive that look without going over the top with the gear/diet/diurectics. Blame the judges. |
