 I think the first was a non-bodybuilder strongman, but I know Flex did have something funky in his delts in '99. Kovacs also had funky shoulders in the 90s.

 I think the MRI revealed no implants, but synthol could have still been used, I think. Maybe it dissipated after some time?

His arms were 27 inches. I'd guess that 4/5 inches of that was from the oil.

with synthol, the increase in size is due to the volume of oil.  with site injections, the increase in size is due to your body's reaction (inflammation) to the irritating substance.

That's true... I heard that Lee Haney did most of his injections in his pecs.

I wonder which old school bodybuilders that preys to god noone will ever know that they were mostly a result of inflammed muscles caused by site injecting. It would´nt surprise me one bit if Arnold knew he could gain about one inch on biceps and or triceps before a show. It´s not that hard to belive some guys who used alot of gear had to switch injection areas, it´s more likely than not even.

Flex wheeler used to have calf implants, Shawn ray called him out on them (which he should, they are illegal), and so he took them out.

You're not exactly right, site injections work because the muscle tissue absorbs the steroid like a sponge, it has nothing to do with inflammation. The muscle is swollen because of the volume of oil (most steroids) injected and lasts more then a few days, sometimes up to two weeks.
