yeah, i know how much you hate bodybuilding!  You're only on here every day and have a site dedicated to bodybuilding.  I should have known how much you never wanted to be a bodybuilder.

I don't hate bodybuilding, I hate what it's become and after being in and around it for so long i feel I have a right to speak my mind with some accuracy. Imagine if you started doing your favorite "sport" then have it get destroyed with overuse of gear, less training and immorality, I think you too would have the same reaction. I come on here for a few reasons, 1. Because it's fun 2. To give my opinion and 3. It really shows my how bad the industry has become and having these message boards is a blessing in disguise and just show part of how bad it really is. After more than 30years of bodybuilding I cannot just walk away as much as I try!

Go find someone w/ great genetics, get them "Zane-like" and market them.

Weed, In case you haven't noticed it's going back to the "Zane-like" physique meaning it's going back to the lighter, more ripped type of physique that have great genetics and thats what has been winning the shows since the beginning of the season exept for Warren Branch. I said quite a few years ago that these "mass monsters" cannot hold that type of physique and that the days of the so called "mass monsters" will be coming to and end and sure as shit it's heading that way with the exeption of the Olympia. I don't train bodybuilders anymore, but when I did I had a few state champs, 6 top 3 National Champs and 3 top 5 Ms. Olympia's one and one third place Ms. Olympia. I get greater satisfaction training athletes working with obese children and the general public.

9 fuckin pages?? im not gonna even start reading through this shit but i will tell you kamali some truth about yourself and i dont mean it in a bad way because when you go through my posts you will find me putting you top 6 despite horrible structure that has a lot more poundage on it than it needs.

to your problem: you problem is that you are "from" the middle east and middle east bodybuilders are known to have amazing shoulders that over power their arms/forarms. it is called GENETICS. at 190 you could hide it very well but when time came to grow and the torso grew...especially the delts,,your arms didnt grow at the same ratio. you my friend need 21.5-22 inches arm on stage at 4% to look competetive at your poundage. NOTHING LESS! you cant get it! and you went the oil way and tried to "grow" them this way insted of working them for growth (that may never come due to genetics)

my suggestion to you my friend: lose weight. get down in weight/over all size and try to maintain 20-21 inch arms at a smaller size. will be very difficult with those delts but it's possible! ONLY THEN you will start seeing top 3 in competitions.

*hanna from israel, heidar...many many more middle eastern bodybuilders suffer from the same problem so youre in good group. there is no escape...the one who "escape" it is the one who reduce his over all size! mark my words

its sushi time ;)

This is true i would say genetically and with the aid of all supps you have reached your size potential for your bodytype, and you need to change your game plan and reduce size in some areas to find some balance, if you were happy with your condition yesterday, stop kidding yourself, you have structural weaknesses, one way to hide this is to show up in the same condition Henry was in, you were hard in some bodyparts not shredded, but you are only as hard as your softest looking muscle, lose 20 lbs in the right areas come in tight maintain your arm size, find that Henry conditioning, you arabs have great skin to show detail, look at the amateurs from your side of the world there roadmaps, and then youl push top 5 at most shows, and no you didnt deserve to beat Willmore, but alll respect to you for getting on here and defending yourself.

Well - keeping this thread on focus is hard for some to do, especially with the no malicious bashing. Still, lets see. King Kamali himself has not said that he would place or win the NY Pro, only that he would do well, very well. King looked better at this show than the last two times he was on stage. King at night lost by one point to Bill Willmore 46 to 45. Farah beat both King and Wilmore in the prejuding rounds. So it was very close between the three of them. King has a right to say that he could of been 5th.

Now, some of you have been keeping a grudge for years and years. Boy, I find that amazing. King himself said that he has a problem only with a few people here, the ones that continues to bash him maliciously. Others that give constructive criticism are cool.

I, for one, enjoy King posting here, he keeps in interesting. The ones that try to attack every pro or NPC competitor that posts here truly bother me... so enough.

King made a great showing in NY!
And he improved from his last contest, that's bodybuilding...competing to improve from show to show.  And to be very honest, I was at the NY Pro. King was called out with the top guys, from the prejudging call-outs I thought he was 5th.  He has a beautiful wife, supporting family/friends and is getting paid to do something he loves...I met him at many shows, he always took the time to talk and take pics. with me!

Will you change that opinion when he gets on radio and starts airing dirty laundry because he couldn't accept negative comments about his physique by shawn ray?

so then why does he want to claim that it's actually Shawn who is the bad boy of bbing?

well, according to King, the unnamed one does all his pushing (both guys and gals) on the QT. although King is somehow privy to this info.

It should be pointed out that whilst Shawn did mention his distension somewhat he wasn't wrong about anything regarding his physique and he pulled no punches for anybody else either.  I thought he did a good job of commentary.  Shari is of course mostly out of sorts with Shawn's posts here where he burns kamali on a day to day basis but he won't win any fans doing so, infact most people will consider him to be "back to old tricks".

The general consensus is that the man looked like garbage. He did. I'd say he had the largest waist to arm ratio of the entire show. The distension is all too noticebale now. Factor in appalling less mass and you have a poor, poor physique.

Whats unbelievable is that theres a few members here who say he looks good and just needs to improve on his weaknesses. Heres a brutal dose of reality: the man has been pro for several years and hasn't got any better, he's gotten incrementally worse as the years have progressed. He's always had poor arms - what makes you think he'll ever improve on them?

2nd tier pro early in his career.

3rd tier pro currently.

Sad.

People commenting on Kamali and his attitude should just chill, every sport needs a 'mouth' to make it interesting and competitive - what Kamali does is not arrogant, he is direct - it may not be the most diplomatic way to say things but people like him are needed.

Last year's line up was pretty weak
agreed. I saw the list of competitors last year and didn't feel like it was worth the train ride downtown  :-\

also, holding a Pro show in that venue blows, bring it back to the Beacon

How is Farah beating both Kamali and Willmore in the pre-judging rounds and then places behind them both in the finals?  Makes no sense to me. Is the "Posing Round" weighed that heavily.  King was the best I had seen him in a while and Willmore was in condition....but aesthetically Farah beats them both.  Plus he looked harder at night.  I will never figure this sport out.
