Loading Night Before/Morning of Show

Folks,

I wanted to get some of your opinion.  Some people do the following:

1) Cut water Friday afternoon
2) Friday evening at pizza (salty with lots of meat)
3) Saturday morning the load up on bacon, eggs, and pancakes

Then later that day then compete say (10:00 AM or so).

I'm not big on this idea.  I figure if you look good eating clean, why change it by throwing something completely different at your body?  It seems like a gamble.  If you've busted your but through 12-16 weeks of prep, why take the gamble.

I would strongly suggest not doing that unless you have tried it previously.  Like you said stick to the basics...if you still feel flat on Saturday morning maybe get some wheat pancakes, a little syrup and steak but too much sodium may cause you many problems...

That looks very risky.Your body could easily have an adverse reaction to the different foods..
I have used the following to good effect.Try low carb from saturday to tuesday(less than 100 g-morning and postworkout only),wednesday very high carb approx 500 g (from baked potatoes),thursday moderate to high carb,friday is a monitoring day-add more carbs if you think it's necessary but check how you look in the mirror every hour or so to make sure you dont spill over.For supper on friday have a fillet steak and a glass of dry white wine and the same for breakfast on saturday.

From monday to thursday drink 8 litres of water a day,then 4 ltrs until friday lunchtime.Also have about 10 grams of vitamin C throughout the day on friday to dry you out even further.

Well, I would have to disagree with this...I water load (over 2 gallons) for 7 days, cut it to 1.5 G on Thursdy and then 1/2 Gallon Friday stopping all water 12 hours before the show.  I liked it and am adding taraxatone this time on Friday night (maybe)...I have cuts and I am in Figure...

Totally disagree-I'm natural and cutting my water really brings out the cuts,giving that dry,hard look,although you do need to be in good conditon for it to make much difference.

I also disagree on this. If you have a "film" of water underneath your skin it's from..............water. DUH.

The only reason for not seeing a difference was if what you perceived to be water was actually bodyfat :-\

I am a natty and always cut my water to maybe 2-3 oz's per meal, just enough to get the food down. The moring of the show I would suck on ice cubes...

One thing for sure.  Cutting water if you are still holding fat doesn't do much.  You have to be very lean and then dropping your water will sharpen you up.  I beleive that going the less radical route on water is better for naturals.

1) Drink 1.5-2.0 gallons per day all the way through Thursday
2) Friday cut water in half and drink throughout the day
3) Sip as needed Saturday morning before prejudging

Radical changes can produce radical response.  What the response is is not always what you expect.  Don't forget, 75% of your muscle is made up of water.  As a bodybuilder, I want to make sure that my muscles are looking full.

I know WNBF Pro Jon Harris swears by that and he has twice finished second in the pro worlds.

High quality creatine?  Do you have an example of a product you would recommend?  Is see that Skip Lacour (sp?) does the same thing with creatine.

VPX, has a ethyll creatine that is great for dry hard gains.  Called CEX.   Bodybuilding .com has a great price on it.    Dont get anything that requires a sugar load.

Dont play the salt game.  Just switch to distilled water on friday. ( 1/2 gallon at most.) while eating carbs 50 grams a meal for 5-6 meals.

Sat morn, ice cubes and bannana.

if u r all ready in shape y mess up play with your carbs and u wil drop water
