Vince does his labor pool jobs, in which he is surrounded by the unskilled, ex-cons and mentally handicapped people, and possibly illegals. Not flaming, but this is the truth about Labor Pool/Manpower. At this job, ppl probably buy that Vince is a Bber and nutritional guru.
Vince sells supplements at flea markets on weekends. If ppl think he's crazy, they can walk away form his table and avoid his corridor the next time.
Vince (sometimes) goes to the gym. There probably lies the most interaction which could lead to conflict. Imagine him pulling out his CSN, MFT credentials and telling a top local competitor about the "RIGHT" way to carb up or what baker's yeast products will outperform the guys test/deca cocktail. Begging for a black eye. I'm guessing that "car accident" alibi was another way to put "locker room advice gone terribly wrong".
I don't work for a temp agency, I do light security work on the side for a security company. Doing shows is expensive and if I can collect a few hundred bucks a day doing relatively nothing then I'll do it. Most of the time when I'm doing it I'm working on an article or posting up here as I have a laptop with wireless cellular high speed access. Basically, I'm doing two jobs at once and getting paid for it.
Yes I sell supplements at the flea market but I wouldn't sell them out there if I wasn't making good money. That's what running a business is all about.
And I do go to the gym 5 days a week but when I can't get to the gym, I can train at home with my home equipment. I don't have to chase after clients, they usually come up to me. I'll chat with them and hand them a business card afterwards.
Say what you want about my business but its been going strong since 2001 and gets better each year. Tell me how your business is doing after 5 years 240...
