I had to go back to Las Vegas the 22nd, 23rd & 24th, and I decided to take an hour or two and stop in and visit Titus. I present the facts:
* Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) is located in downtown Las Vegas, walking distance from The Golden Nugget Casino & The Fremont Street Experience.
* (CCDC) requires a 1 hour pre-visit check-in, but all things considered, it's one of the easier jails in which to visit an inmate, that I've been to. The crowd was small and well behaved. It was absolutely the cleanest visiting area I have ever seen in a jail, as the area appeared to be fairly new.
* (CCDC) visits are
not conducted via the standard set-up aka the two phones w/the glass partition. You sit in a chair at a little work station type setting and look into a 23-24" video screen and talk on a phone. Titus had the same set-up on his side and he was looking at me in his color video monitor as I was looking at him. Strange
. Titus remained seated the entire visit and my view of him was from the waist up & clear.
* My visit was from 8:30 - 9:00 pm, Tuesday evening the 23th.
* Titus' physical appearance... This is a bodybuilding site after all. Well, Craig looked good. His skin was tight. His jaw line was very delineated. He was wearing a medium toned blue shirt, short-sleeved but covering 3/4 of his upper arms. His hair was cut very short (most likely a #2 or #3 clipper cut). No facial hair. A slight bit of gray peeking out around the temples. His eyes were clear and he gave the impression of a man who was comfortable with his current situation... a much as can be expected. I asked him how much he weighed? He smiled and said, "Oh..... 223-225. I said, "Dude. It's me Tom... how much?" He said, "OK maybe a little lighter."
. I am extremely good and guessing body-weight and I would say Craig is 212-215. He showed some vascularity in his forearms, and again I though he looked good... all things considered
* The visit... Titus was happy to see me. We had not seen each other in approx. (7) years. He instantly started laughing when he saw me and said something like, "Dude! Tom! What the hell? Dude what are you doing here?" I gave him the story and he was nodding the whole time, clearly happy to be out of his cell and talking to someone lucid.
We talked about the NYC Pro show & Colorado Pro Show. Titus chuckled a bit & smiled about King placing 6th in New York. He was curious about PDI and it's evolution. I told him the info I've gathered from Getbig
. I told him Alexxx & 240 are PDI's big players.
The case...
Murder! Well, we talked about the case, nothing in detail, obviously, but we lightly discussed most aspects & principles of the case (without going into any details, I have extensive experience with the legal system). Right now, the case is pretty much in it's paperwork phase until January. Titus & Ryan both waived their right to a speedy trial so things are slow.
We talked about the DA's, pending problems with toxicology (it's going to be an issue for sure). We talked about his bail situation (no bail). His unlawful flight was obviously the cause and there are no plans to request a bail reduction hearing anytime soon. January will be here soon enough anyway.
Craig says, initially he received numerous request for interviews from Access Hollywood, ET, Geraldo Riveria, The Sun Times (London's premier tabloid), Nancy Grace/Crime TV, etc. but things have settled down now and the request are less numerous. His lawyers have convinced him & he knows that the best thing to say is "nothing".
Craig told me to stop by and visit Kelly, if I had the time, and I replied that I would
if I had time during my next visit to Las Vegas. To be honest, I'm not sure Kelly would remember me.
*The quote (it ain't much)... As I am pretty much out of the bodybuilding loop these days, I told Titus that I check-in on the GETbig boards from time-to-time for info & gossip. Craig immediately smiled and said, "Oh ya Ron Avidan's site... I like it." I asked Craig if he had anything he wanted me to pass along to the people who read the site. I was clear that I wanted Craig to be concise and I would only print
one quote regarding the case. Craig paused and nodded his head and said, "Ya... just tell them to please wait until all the facts about the case are in, before they decide... There are a lot of things people don't know and they really need to wait... that's all."
That's pretty much it. No jail break
. No hookers in the visiting room
. No shoot out with the cops.
.
Who killed her? I didn't ask, but I know who killed her.
