I'm sending out this pm plea to everyone who has shown an interest in competing in the Mr GetBig contest....
As you may or may not be aware, I have pm'ed Ron with my request for a locked, "read-only" Board on which to run the contest, over which I would be the only moderator so as to prevent Chinese-whispers, rumours and hoaxing. My considered opinion being that the Board should appear as a "child-board" on the Gossip&Opinion; BodybuildingFans; Natural; ContestInfo boards simultaneously so as to garner as much traffic and exposure as possible....
Ron disagrees, he feels the Mr GetBig Contest would best be suited to the V Board. My (polite) pm's requesting he reconsider have not been aswered.
I appreciate that this contest belongs to you: the competitors, and I respect that. However, that being said, I only voluteered myself to run/organise the contest on the (reasonable) assumption that it would be taken somewhat seriously... to that end I have already made enquiries regarding possible magazine coverage for the contest and even contacted friends of mine in the Irish film scene hoping to have the contest compiled as a video feature for web-broadcast (comparisons; pre-taped free posing round etc).
I don't begrudge the waste of my time, as I fully intended to devote a lot of personal effort to the project... but many of the people I have approached for help are serious professionals with little patience for nebulous, ill-conceived fantasy projects. My carefully formulated show format did little to assuage their trepidations once they found out there was as yet no online support or exposure for the contest.
I have already appealed for support in the threads devoted to the proposed Mr GetBig, alas to little if any avail.
Hence I am asking each and every would be competitor to personally (and immediately) pm/email Ron asking him to instate a "GetBig Physique Contest" board... and explaining to him the importance of the requirements I have specified (assuming you agree on such). Hopefully, if all the competitors make the same list of demands it may vouchsafe my organisational abilities...

Many of you may feel wary of supporting my ambitions with regard to this contest. Many of you may feel that I am attempting to institute myself as some kind of tin-god on the boards... perhaps such concerns are warranted. However I would ask that you at least consider my contribution to the boards and my conduct as Moderator on the Natural Board... then ask yourself: Don't you want someone with grandiose ambitions plans running this show?
