Update - several competitors have expressed their wish that we set a registration deadline. The rules have been amended to reflect popular opinion. You may enter the contest if you have registered on Getbig no later than July 1 this year.

thats fucked up 240, I thought you had integrity? Oliver said the date was July 31, I posted a pic of my buddy who is in California, so Ollie changed it cuz he looks 10 times better than Adonis. I called my boy and he thought it was a great idea, he said he would join as soon as he got home. He would have won first EASY! I get him all excited about the prizes and the site and what should I tell him now? "sorry, the squad wants Adonis to win?" thats fucked up 240. Rules are rules. If I thought you guys were this fucking shady I would have never let you guys know about my "ringer". I just thought it was good for the site and good for motivation for everyone else. YOU run the contest and apparently you can't be trusted either. Are either one of you on the level? Or is this whole thing rigged for the pepsquad?

We listened to the competitors input, and input from Onlyme, then me and Rob decided it's in their(the competitors) best interest to create a registration deadline. JaeJonna especially said he wouldn't compete in a contest that let's any ringer jump in at the last moment and take it away from the Getbiggers. In many ways, Mr.Getbig is like the "people's champ."

slow down. this was not based upon any squad stuff, and it is my own belief that Adonis will not finish in the money, that there will just be too many people with better shape. but that's my 2 cents.

This has nothing to do with your friend. This has to do with what the getbiggers asked for - a contest for all the people who were registered here BEFORE the show was announced. This ensures we don't have 20 new members register the day before the show and clean house. This is a show for GBers, by GBers.

I was the one who suggested a much later register date, and regretted it immediately, as I got dozens of emails telling me that it was bad for the show, that it would cause ringers so sign up and win then disappear, and that a TRUE Mr Getbig should be about ppl who post here.

The majority spoke up, and I admitted i was wrong on this one.

If you go back in this thread and look at my post, you'll see I thought it was better if we made it open. I was pushing for open registration the whole time. This is a comp for Getbiggers though, and they dictate that we create a registration deadline.

I actually agree with Jaejonna and the final decision, however, rules shouldn't be changed like that. I was told one thing today and it changes just like that? thats fucked up. You shouldn't post rules and then just change them. Its kind of funny that people see a pic of a guy who they know they can't beat and the rules change to exclude him? You and 240 are very shady people, I wish you well in your personal lives but I hope this contest is a total fuckin wreck, because you are a fucking liar and you know it!

We made is very clear that the judging criteria, the rules, etc, would come together during the 8 weeks, while everyone was getting into shape.

And it seems you're mad that your friend, who is not a getbigger, cannot enter the show. I'm sorry for that. There are many other shows he can enter throughout the country. This show is for getbig members, which he is not.

I never saw your friend's pic, and honestly, I don't think anyone is going to beat babyherc... but the bottom line is, the contest is going to be fair, judges will be held accountable, there will be no IFBB-style judging BS, and the judges are going to do a great jb choosing the best getbigger.

I had actually just told Ollie today that my buddy was going to join on Wednesday, I go to get some Outback carryout and the rules are just changed? you think thats right? Rules are rules! Oh, and 20 new members joining getbig on the same day is a bad thing? wtf!! yeah, that would suck getting 20 new people who actually look good to join here and not just flame everyone and call them homos like your favorite group.

The contest isn't meant to be a membership drive for temporary GetBiggers to collect a prize - it's meant to challenge the existing members of getbig to reach their potential.

We made it very clear from minute one that the rules were constant - standard BBing judging criteria- but that the details would be hammered out over the next 2 months.

I would never have caved and changed the rules... I was busy drawing up a full set of (immutable and unchangeable) rules when Ollie and 240 started to run the show. That's not because I know any better than 240 or Ollie it's because I spent 7 weeks working out all the possibilities and logistics involved in organising this show... they're going to have their contest in 7 weeks time...

Last minute rule changes are one of the things I was worried about and wanted to avoid... there are only 20ish competitors, and any one of them could feel justified in dropping out due to any one of the rule changes. Or should I say... any one of them could find himself out of shape come contest time and need a justification for not competing... it happens.

What Ollie and 240 need to watch out for is that it doesn't end up a three or four man race... if that happens due to rule/format/class/entry-requirement changes then they run the risk of the sponsors calling FRAUD!! Then not only are the prizes revoked, legal action might ensue...

Not to worry though, I've mailed 240 and Ollie all my considered opinions on rules and contest format... and I'm here to help if anyone needs me... these guys are both competent and capable, there's nothing wrong with this contest that can't be fixed. Believe me, I've been involved in the promotions side of the Irish bodybuilding scene... this is nothing to worry about, not yet.

Thanks Luke, I sure wish you were running the contest, this was the most blatant form of prejudice against me I have encountered since I have been on Getbig. it just sucks cuz I told my friend about the contest when Ollie posted the rules and as soon as Ollie saw his pics he changed the rules just to fuck with me/my friend and to protect his buddy Adonis. I know you would have never let personal feelings get in the way like Ollie did, but then again 240 and Ollie would never be able to find Bigfoot

I agree with you about Adonis, he may be a cool guy and all but in a fairly judged contest he's not going to win. He's a pretty big dude but he's got a funky build. The winner will be someone with pleasing lines that will be able to present some decent mass even after dieting.......like me.
