it has been a very tough decision to make for me, should I do this or not...should I try one more time at the Nationals or go for the Masters Nationals next year.

The PDI is an area of bodybuilding that has never been traveled, as of right now some don't believe the NOC wont take place.
I have been competing on the NPC National level since 91, and through the years have won my weight class in 3 national contest, I have traveled the world guest posing and doing seminars, And even have a contract with UNIVERSAL NUTRITION for the past 9 years.

I owe all my success to the NPC, but at this time in my career...it's time to move on, I feel I have reached my max. I don't believe I can go any further...so i'l try something new.

I have talked to Shawn Ray, and Bob Chick, and they both make great reasons for staying with the NPC.
and AS OF THIS PAST WEEKEND...I was going to stay, but...after talking to my wife about the pro's and con's of switching or stay....Chick made the point of having my procard with the IFBB seem great, but after trying 9 times...I doubt I'll get it.

I have nothing bad to say about anyone with the NPC, everyone has been great...and I hope to continue with the relationships that have formed from the years I was at the national level.

Good luck Vinny, you got to do, what you got to do.
Either way, it's all about Bodybuilding which it seems your going to continue to focus on regardless of  Pro Card in the IFBB or ABC League.

Mr Galanti I applaud your decision. Many fans like myself can't wait to see what the PDI has to offer, and we will support it 100% Don't let the haters question what you decided, they just fear the unknown.

PDI is needed, sick of seeing reputations placing in front physiques, hopefully they will be different couldnt be any worse than the current IFBB who cant even hold their premier event in a first class exhibition centre and its that boring they cant sell it to pay per view

Good luck Vinny, if they had judged on physiques in the past i believe you would have got your card with the ifbb, lets hope this federation does and you place where you should.

If the PDI does do one thing different, please let that be it. I'm so tired of watching a show and there is some guy in the back who is fvcking ON and he doesn't even get called out. Then you hear this "paying your dues" bullshit. It's just not fair, this is a bobdybuilding competition. When Buster Douglas flattened Tyson because Mike didn't do his homework, the decision wasn't reversed because Buster wasn't a name guy. Altough Don King tried like a motherfvcker ;D

Vinny,

You have to do what's in your heart and best for you. All your fans will respect your decision no matter what you do!

I look at it this way...you are going to be 40 and say perhaps you decided to stay with the IFBB and do attain your Pro Card at the nationals...Where do you go from there? The IFBB is slowly starting to sway towards the Aesthetic Vinny G type physiques but how long will this fascade last?

Every Pro wants to to make it to the Big One...the Olympia but realistically can you OR do you want to try and hang with the Ronnie's, Jays, Ruhl's etc

OR

Go to the PDI where I think everyone will get a fair shake. It's obvious that there will be a flavor of physiques and where I/ We think you will do some damage.

I am by no means blowing smoke up your butt. We have chatted numerous times offline.

I'm just calling it as I see it...

Us NY/NJ ers gotta stick together....

Good for you Vinny. From what I've see of you on this board, you are going bring to the PDI a lot of what Gb'ers have been saying the IFBB has been lacking: personality and honesty. Atta boy.

I haven't seen or heard where you couldn't do both.  I know it's  hard to hold your peak ect, but you think the powers that be would care, it's not like they let you compete at the nationals for free or anything.  Do what's best for Vinny and good luck dude, you deserve it.

You did the right thing. Its time to move on. With AMI as the owner of the ifbb things are only going to change for the worse. I applaud you for making a wise decision where men with your type of physique can win fare and square. Good Luck!

Good for you Vinny.  Wayne is doing everything he can to make the PDI the premier BB organization.  I am sure he has told you allot of things that are happening that others don't know about.  They are all good for the organization and for the competitors.  I am very sure once people know they too will come around.  He is very methodical how he is doing this.  I too will be helping getting the athletes themselves sponsors and shows with my connections.  Plus the traveling around the globe and competing will be allot of fun.  And send me those pics
