Horton, making up shows, then cancelling them, is a weak approach to debate.

Please show me in the press releases where the Vegas show is scheduled.

"there was talk" is a tad unaccountable.  There can be talk about anything.  Who made this talk?  Speak on it.

I thought they announced some big Vegas event a long time ago, too.  If my memory serves me correctly, it was going to be in October, but I cannot recall the venue.

At the time, most of the details were TBA.

That being said, I don't think it's that big a deal that no promoter could be found in Vegas.  That town is *seriously* overpriced right now, for everything.

You guys are getting really desparate now.  Making up cancelled shows is a typical IFBB ploy.  But you have to remember this is not the IFBB.  When you cancel a show that means it will never happen.  And their has to be a show to begin with.  Now if the NOC was not to happen and it was cancelled then you would have something to glout over, but sorry kids you are posting some wrong things here.  Negotiations are still going on.

No show= can't be cancelled
No date= can't be cancelled
No venue= can't be cancelled
No press release= can't be cancelled
No official notice= can't be cancelled

Hope this helps.  Now get back to trying to figure out how to fuck the IFBB up more.  Maybe Vince can be the rep

PRO DIVISION INC ANNOUNCES CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP

Pro Division Inc announced today the ways in which athletes can participate in Pro Division Inc competitions/events.
Wayne S. DeMilia, CEO of Pro Division Inc states, “We have been inundated with requests from athletes encompassing every point on the globe. We are totally elated from the massive response we have received from interested athletes. We have formulated a program to be not only open and progressive, but also honest and fair.”

Pro Division Inc will consider for pro status in their program athletes who meet the following criteria.

Any male athlete who has achieved pro status from any other organization.
Any male athlete who has won a national or international title from any other organization.

In addition, because we have received so many requests from amateur athletes wishing to participate in our events, we have set up a program to achieve that goal.

Pro Division Inc will promote each year a series of “Amateur Pro Qualifiers.” These events will be run for the sole purpose of amateur athletes achieving pro status in Pro Division Inc.

The first three of such events will be promoted on the following dates and locations:

                                    1. Florida                      August 11-12
                                    2. Las Vegas                 August 25-26
                                    3. New York City            September 15

Each event will have five weight divisions, and for our first year, the top two in each weight division will receive pro status. Weight divisions are as follows:

                                    Up to 175 pounds
Over 175, up to and including 190 pounds
Over 190, up to and including 205 pounds
Over 205, up to and including 220 pounds
                                    Over 220 pounds

The Sports Act of 1978, and a subsequent ruling on the matter in 1983, has given amateur athletes the right to compete in any organization any time they wish without fear of threats or reprisals.

Anyone wishing to join Pro Division Inc should do so by contacting us at prodivisioninc@yahoo.com.  Our next press release will announce our fall contest schedule

Well then where is the cancellation notice.  I have yet to see one.  The Olympia has been cancelled too.  And that is more realistic.  Since the IFBB has the history of cancelling shows not the PDI.  Also, keep this in mind, cancelling a show is different from moving the date.

Not a good argument, Keith...someone could easily turn that around and say that the IFBB also has a long history of putting on events, while the PDI does not.

The PDI lost every planned event after the 2004 Night of Champions.

There's no question that Wayne got screwed over bigtime, but the reality is that those shows all had to be cancelled.

This is really splitting hairs, though.  I think the 2006 PDI Night of Champions could be the most watched webcast in bodybuilding history.

As far as I know it won't be webcasted.  Unless they can come up with the money to pay for the production (the company who webcasts).  This location is very union run and in New York you have to pay for the union to work.  I talked to Wayne about it before and he said no but that was a few months ago.  Things might change.  Don't know but will be talking tohim over the weekend and will find out and about the Vegas show.

Screw the union.

The venue's website said something about having to pay extra to photograph or videotape the show (which is nuts - shouldn't that be included?!), but since there will be SOME media there, I'm assuming that's already been taken care of.

That being the case, the high-speed internet connection shouldn't cost more than $1000 (this should be in the venue rental, too, but may not be) and the 2-day cost for a cameraman would be another $1000.

If I'm the promoter, I spend that $2000 in a heartbeat.

Hah, oh dear.  240, Keith.. if you're going to advocate atleast know what you're talking about.  You fell into that one hook line and sinker.  Expect 10 pages of IFBB drones naysayer talk now.

That show being cancelled is really not news, it is however news to IFBB lackeys simply because you went and blew the IFBB cancellations out of proportion.  Unfortunately you're going to have to swallow it boys :)

Well actually no.  Since no cancellation has been posted except by a guy who lives and breathes off IFBB ass.  I have heard nothing.  And until I do this is just Kevin blowing his load after watching a Weider and IFBB porn movie starring them together.

You've made plenty of assumptions in pursuit of your own criticisms of the IFBB.  I've seen you blow many things out of proportion for a while now so don't be suprised when people start doing the same to you.

Whether the show the on or off, you had no knowledge of it and now you're going to cop the rumour mill attacking your camp.  This is amusing.  Thats all I'm saying.

I've worked with the pro site exclusively thus far.  But yes, the Vegas is on the menu.

Horton- are you just asking about the show?  There hasn't been much info released about the other 2 pro qualifiers this year.  The shows are a few months away and the athletes who have been emailing Wayne have been getting the answers they need about the show.

If you're just fishing, then carry on!

What about the fans?  Those of us who might be interested in attending a PDI event will have to make travel plans, too, ya know.  While NYC and Orlando are out of the question, I would consider making the trip to Vegas to see what the PDI is all about.
