And he said he's have to check with his PR director in Florida to see what he is allowed to say about the subject.

So...?

You're making "Onlyme" jealous now. He's still upset that Wayne went with the $300 website rather than the $400.

I've also asked Wayne to explain why three of the European Shows were dropped from his schedule.

240, do you have any info on that?

I can understand not having a full slate of Euro-shows, but they're still planning the October trifecta, right?  That's going to be the weekend from hell for those competitors...3 shows in 3 days is just nuts, if all the guys are in actual contest form.

Ok, here's the scoop:

The Night of Champions is going to mark the official debut of the PDI.

The Orlando qualifier is slated to be held in conjunction with a MMA event planned for later this year (date TBD).

The Las Vegas qualifier is expected to be held next spring (date TBD).

To put it bluntly, they've got some very exciting plans for 2007 and I cannot wait to get my first taste when the PDI comes west next year.

Not as embarassed as you must have been when you said this

"Horton, making up shows, then cancelling them, is a weak approach to debate.
Please show me in the press releases where the Vegas show is scheduled.
"there was talk" is a tad unaccountable.  There can be talk about anything.  Who made this talk?  Speak on it."

Amazing how a simple question about a show could create such anger.
Are people only allowed to question the IFBB?

horton, your devotion to the ifbb is commendable.
though in this thread you come off as a ranting lunatic...
please maintain your composure when you post, your ifbb puppet masters are already pleased with your work

Well I'm glad someone finally was able to get the real answers and post them.  I have known about the Florida show for sometime.  The month is Nov.  The MMA is a PPV and huge.  The sponsors are rolling in for that event and to have the FLorida show during this event will allow for more sponsors and a whole lot more exposure for them.  Wayne's main thing is to make enough for the promoter in order to pay off the debt from his last show.  With it now being held during a major event, the dollars will be there and it will give the competitors a ton more exposure and possibilities.  SO I know Kevin won't be able to handle this and will misinterpret it but the show has been moved NOT cancelled.  Not like the IFBB Toronto Pro whihc was CANCELLED. Thanks Tre

You have to admit that with 5 shows now "postponed" things aren't looking too good?
Talking of sponsors, I hear the "Get to meet the sponsors" party held in NY recently was a really "happy" event. was you there?

I personally think the NOC will be the Debut and the Finale of the PDI. Both parties will realize they kind of need the other, shit will get smoothed over and that's that.

Yes a better photo though it's the PDI who appear to be in trouble not the IFBB.

I know you're a staunch supporter of the PDI and hate the IFBB/NPC but surely even you can see that your boys are facing a serious PR problem right now?
It's looking like 2004 again. 2 qualifying shows "postponed" along with 3 Euro Pro Shows.
They didn't even issue a press release explaining why, it took Tre to find out for us all. How much respect does that show to the athletes and fans?
Add the fact that the PDI do not consider some of their recent signings to be marketable and it's looking like an uphill struggle.
