KEGGER AT GUNTER’S If you see Gunter Schlierkamp sinking brews like it’s happy hour at Oktoberfest and military pressing beer kegs overhead in the weeks leading up to this year’s Mr. Olympia, don’t worry. He’s still hard at work, training in a much more sober and smart way for the sport’s top prize. Schlierkamp will simply be playing a character in a movie due out in August, “Beerfest.”

“The movie is about two American brothers who inherit their German father’s brewing company, and once they arrive in Germany for a beer convention, they are recognized as the brothers who stole the German recipe,” Schlierkamp recaps. “I’m one of the contestants challenging them in the beer-drinking contest. The movie will be released around the world, and I will be featured on the poster on a treadmill holding a beer keg while drinking it through a straw.” Won’t you raise a glass and plunk down your $8 to see that?

I thought he was the next Arnold? Instead of Terminator he's the Sudsinator?

Maybe he is good looking but IMO, a lot of women would think he is too big. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too big.

In every pics I saw of him in clothes, he looks way larger than ronnie.

He does sort of shrink down in the offseason at times. He can lose the size if its an issue.

I think Gunter gains weight in the offseason. He was 320 pounds onstage at Lonnie Teper's Jr. California last week. As for getting a part in a movie, not bad, the movie indusstry pays well, and gives him more mainstream exposure. Besides, wait until you see the movie to judge on whether or not Gunter was a fool, or just a happy beer man.

the foreign appeal that I believe, I'm foreign myself and the girls go crazy when they see me, but when it comes to Gunter the girls get vey grossed out when they see the varicose veins in his legs so don't be a liar.

Günter seems to have zero potential for being a star.

Look at Arnold: When the Pumping Iron documentary was made, he made sure to be the leading role. He's the guy who goes to Brazil for Playboy and have girls suck fruits on camera. He's the guy who gets attention.

When did Günter ever say ANYTHING that we've remembered?

Do we even know how his voice sounds?

I like Günter, but he's NOT the next Arnold. He's good looking. But he needs an extra dimension. Levrone seems to have more star quality, and could probably do it. Seems to be a tad insecure though.

Gunter is the shit

I think he will do good in hollywood without downsizing. He's tall and he isn't freakishly big cause he has a big frame to hold his weight, he may play stereotypical characters but i think it will be amusing and won't hurt his rep.
