they play this crap on tv and the general public thinks this is what every bodybuilder is like. Why is it that they cant find someone who does not represent the sport like a complete moron. they have this guy, valentino, the homo on MTV who needs his dad to shave his "Glutes". Creepy. i always see these shows on cable and people i know see them and they always ask "is that how things really are". its quite upsetting to see this crap plastered everywhere. what are your thoughts?
The reason is that this guy in this video is not a professional, and he's what most wanna-be pro's ARE like, whether you accept it or not. He also knows how to communicate, and he seems dedicated to building his body.
I agree the MTV guy was horrible. But Valentino is a freak, and freakyness sells, so they made a half-u-mentary out of him. I say half-u-mentary because they included that insane mental-midget who claims that one mg of any steroid will eventually give you cancer, a heart attack and a stroke, and you'll end up in a mental institution. But everyone seems to give him a pass.
By the way: Why are you watching cable to tell you how real life is? The reality shows are mostly fake, and the ones that are real put together 30 minutes of maybe a full week of action so condensed and twisted that they can manipulate you into thinking something happened that really didn't.
This guy got some attention on FIT TV. Big deal.
Bodybuilding.Com is now advocating THE NATURAL WAY with a guy on there who claims to be natural who obviously is NOT a Natural bodybuilder. But noone seems to mind that.
So who would *YOU* have preferred to see in that segment? A guy like Jay Cutler who sleeps 12 hours a day, trains whenever he feels, and eats like a pig? Yeah, I'm sure that would REALLY help the image of bodybuilding.
