need fast muscle recovery...
« on: June 10, 2006, 05:45:22 PM »
I just landed a job as a DirecTV field technician and today was my first day of training. After hours of lecture, we had to work with 14 foot extension ladders. They were fiberglass, yet still heavy and since they were so long, it made balancing them really hard on my delts and my forearms because of the way we're supposed to carry them. These are weak points of mine (among others). I have three weeks of training before I'm out on my own. I know what exercises to do, but what supplements will help in really fast muscle recovery in this short amount of time? Man am I going to be sore tomorrow.
P.R.: ate four lbs p-butter in 3 days

If muscle soreness is your concern try vitamin E.  I notice a significant difference when I use about 400 IU at night.

thats what i was gonna say. glutamine really helps with me...when i don't have any i really notice the difference in muscle soreness for the next couple of days and that can limit poundages on a chest or shoulder workout if your Triceps are still very sore.

Does glutamine just get rid of the soreness or does it allow you to train more often instead of, for instance, my usual one muscle group per week which is what I've been told to do??

Really, really fast?
...uh that would be steroids. Things like glutamine do help, but not at the rate I believe your asking for.

As far as your job, you will get used to it as time goes by and it will become easier to deal with. Become easy? NO, but it will improve...I speak form experience on the manual labor thing. but even so, manual labor mixed with hard training does still suck >:(
