My quads are almost 30" numbnuts. That's about 3" smaller than your chest.

lol all you do every day is chest and back but.. if you count your nightly squating sessions on Rodney St-Cloud.. then you will make it to 23 inch thighs someday. ;)

The guy dieted and got into great condition.  Why give him shit?  I respect those who do it rather than just talk about it.

I agree. He worked hard to get on stage. Play nice. He knows his legs need to be brought up, and I'm sure they will be.  It was is first time out, next time he'll be better.

Good job  Mikey!

Adonis probably used those methods for 5 years before he figured out they don't work. Then he started doing human squats. HA!

The good thing about mike is that he will read this thread and no matter whether he dislikes it being referenced he'll try hard to rectify it.

Yeah the guy needs to hit the squat rack hard.  But his legs didnt look THAT bad.  Need some sweep and more thickness but he was in shape.  Part of his problem was as another guy said, the way he stood and how he posed them.  Overall a showing to be proud of.

you think he doesn't know that? Mike probably squats very intensely the problem is he is a tall guy so it's hard to keep the legs looking big when he diets, i'll bet they look plenty big in person.

he's tall and has endo/ectomorph genetics (skinny fat in laymen's terms) it's hard to overcome that kind of handicap but I think Mike has done an admirable job.  Give him some credit.  If you were that cursed you probably would have taken the easy way out and turned to steroids.  Not Mike though, he has stayed natural and in his first natty comp he almost placed in the top 50%

Think about it for a second, Mike lost a third of his bodyweight and made the transition form fat to skinny.  In this nation of fat asses not many can say that for themselves!!!!

Well, Arvilla is a personal trainer and all, should have no problem with form then I guess.

But perhaps he may want to look into his squat form, check how deep he goes, and also, if he's turning the lift more into a good morning rather then a squat. You want to avoid "dipping" the upper body.

Perhaps exchange some of the squats for ass to calves front squats.

A tight groin area definitely will cause this.

IMO, everyone can build big legs. It's just those who can build giant legs on very little work that stands out. Everyone else needs to put in some grueling workouts to get there.
