Question for Chick: Why didn't you tell Kamali that libel isn't criminal?

Many posters have stated that you were a police officer, if this is true then you would have known that slander/libel/defamation isn't a criminal offense, they are civil offenses.

A person committing libel can be sued for monetary damages but not sent to jail.

Why didn't you inform Kamali of this when he said Rob could go to jail?

Thin ice! King could never win a lawsuit against 240. The laws are very strict on that matter. Just because someone bad mouths you does not mean you can sue them. It is not that easy. King is full of shit. All these guys think they are tough due to the fact they a heavily muscled. What is king 5'6.... Rob should just laugh at this and laugh at all the attention and business they give him.

Whether or not they are going to sue isn't the point. Kamali made a statement that was patently untrue and Chick knew it.

Why didn't he just calmly say "Rob can be sued for monetary damages but he can't go to jail" for libel. It would have been quick and easy, instead he looks like he was agreeing with Kamali.

with what rob said it is basically IMPOSSIBLE for king to win. that was just huff and puff talking on his part. libel is a very difficult thing to win. since opinions are not subject to libelous suits, it is often hard to actually charge that and make it happen. i could say right now that the redskins suck as a football team. that is my opinion. they couldnt sue me and win for that. i didnt ruin their public reputation or cause them any monetary harm that is provable. king only loses money becuase he cant come in shape and he has a shit physique that cant place high. that isnt 240's fault.

Rob could play the innocent kid on the net, while blaming Kamali's outbursts and temper on the roids.
