Thats cool but the entire US really could give a shit about soccer. Pro poker is more popular that soccer here. Not a knock against soccer or its fans because it seems like a great sport. Fact is if the US decided soccer was a top priority and it caught on here like it has in euro nations we would have a team capable of winning a world cup at some point.

Agree. With a strong economy and a population base of 250 million people you guys have the ability to succeed in every sport you desire to.

I was just making a point that by having to compete againest miniscule nations that are smaller than some of your college campuses is it very easy for you guys to qualify. Take Monserratt...population 9,000. If the US did not beat them that would be really embarrassing

They won the Euro Cup 2 years ago, beat Portugal for it...I cant beleive they didnt make it in... Malakes!

It takes a couple of decennia for investments and coaching to get up to par, I think the US will continue to close the gap. But a large population/player pool is no guarante for succes, there's no Russia and China in the worldcup
