Author Topic: Kamali says all Shawn Ray's top 5 placings don't mean a thing. (Read 5109 times)

In Kamali's interview last night before he said 240 was going to jail he stated that Shawn Ray's placings in all those Olympia's mean nothing.

According to Kamali since Shawn Ray only won a single contest then he's not a successful bodybuilder and placing top 5 in about a hundred straight Olympia's means nothing.

Conversely when Kamali was reciting all his accomplishments he mentioned all his top 5 finishes in contests a lot less competition intense than the Olympia.

Is Kamali being hypocritical or did he forget what he said about Shawn Ray?

I guess you could look at it this way. Buffalo Bills got to the bowl and finished 2nd 4 times. Shawn got there and finished 2-5 12 or 13 times. Is it better to have been there than not at all?

yeah tamali's top 5 at the ironman in 2005 was much more impressive than anything shawn's done

Shawn Ray must be laughing, Kamali predicted that he would destroy Shawn in that radio show.

I suppose it should have been predictable that the only outcome was that he embarassed himself.

This guy has got to be the most delusional fuck ever. Even people who hate Shawn acknowledge he was one of the greatest of all time. Kamali is not even in the same realm Shawn.

Funny thing is, Kamali says, nobody remembers 2nd place. Yet, he's so proud of his top 5 finishes......

Shawn ' won ' 3 contests in 12 years of competing , one was revoked after he failed the drug test at the 1990 Arnold Classic so thats just 2 Pro wins in 12 years thats NOT great by any standards however Shawn was a consistant guy you could count on him to be in fantastic shape and was a consumate professional , he's been accused of being a a-hole that has nothing to do with his physique , many feel he should have won the Sandow twice !! and thats something you'll never hear anyone claim about King , and Shawn doesn't have to worry about King beating his 2 pro wins anytime soon .

I agree. I may not like Ray the human being, but the bber was great. I can make that distinction.

King Tamali is the biggest tool in pro bodybuilding today..

Going into top 5 in Mr Olympia is something he will NEVER achieved in his entire tooling life..

He says Shawn only won a show or two, but let's be real. If Shawn did the little crappy shows that Kamali does like the Ironman, the NOC, the Europa, and the Sioux City Falls Grand Prix, he would have won 30 shows. In fact, other than the Olympia, there's not one show that Shawn couldn't have won.

And if winning is all that matters, why does Kamali continue to compete. It's not like he'll EVER WIN a pro show.
