speaking of which, i was watching tv and they had a show about africa and the struggles there.  So they got to some small poor village and talked to some of the people there.  Anyway, i found it humorous how poor, war-ridden africans living in literally a hut have better grammer and pronunciation of the english language than many of the balck people here.

Well since you bring it up, ...the reason for this has to do with hundreds of years of forced illiteracy, and substandard education (once it was permitted) under hypocritical separate but supposedly equal Jim Crow laws.

I'm sure your musings are shared by many UK residents when they see better grammar, pronunciation, and less butchery of the English language coming from third world fly infested huts than they do when watching American television
