i remember reading that in a couple of magazines way back when, i think it was 94 or 95.

yeah when all the big heavyweights were getting ready for the 93 USA they had a pick of Cormier and Ried face to face in ironman both giving each other the hard guy stare down...I think it was 93.  I also think on that same page they had a pick of Paul demayo holding a gun for some reason which is kinda scary because he went to jail for firing a gun.  Great line up at the 93 USA in the heavys...you had Cormier, Francios, demayo...I can't remember who whas 4th but I know some of the other guys in the show were Ken Castignoli, Gregg Reid and Edgar Fletcher in the shape of his life had to drop out of the heavy's cause he was cramping....

I think I remember Greg retired a couple of years later and he went on to be a pro bowler...I could be wrong about this cause I don't have my mags anymore.

I think that magazine Max Muscle gives out did mention bowling.   Well the PBA is on ESPN.
