Alexxx...
More information from the experienced Alexxx...

I will pass, but thank you for another one of your options of "unusual" experiences...

Sandra

You should be used to that by now... I mean Rodney demonstrated for you last time and you obliged! Busted/!

I find it hard to believe that the monolift is "new" to the gym rats on here.....

Why you think they have these in Golds or Worlds? I have been training for 9 years and I have never seen one. Maybe its a Boston thing but I have never seen one of those things!

They are rare in gyms.  They will be found mainly in hardcore powerlifter gyms, which there are few of anyhow.

I would imagine that you would have to be a Diesel MoFo to even attempt to get on that puppy.
Sandra
Diesel mofo just to "get on that puppy"? WTF it's just a squat rack!

I did ask Manoli how to use it.  He explained to me it takes 3 people to use.
One to release the bar, one to pump the hydraulic and the person who is actually squatting.

Big weights only, I do believe he said it goes up to 1200lbs.    I have got to make a special trip to take pics of it in use.

I'm sure some of you big uns' are salivating over this toy.
Sandra

That's pretty cool.  We've had one in Strong & Shapely in East Rutherford for years.  Do you have any pictures of anyone actually using it?  Apollon Gym seems like a pretty decent gym, how many sq ft?

I  learn something new everyday.
It is the first time I am seeing one.  I want to see it in action.
