I'd have to disagree, four years ago, Brazil and Germany had to settle for goal kicks, that's how brazil won the world cup. this year, I'm expecting Germany to meet brazil again in the final. this time there will be lots of goals, I hope. and BRAZIL WILL WIN.

I totally agree.

But there ought to be a new rule - all immigrants (or other soccer-friendly people) desiring to watch World Cup should return to their countries of origin for that month.  Although I love the fact that we Americanos have found a way to exploit the world's love of soccer for financial gain, so many people not working can't be good for the economy.   ;)

I don't care who wins but the quicker the arrogant Englanders are knocked out, the better. Their ego is so huge that they actually believe the cup belongs to them. They won it once, 40 years ago but only because it was held in their country and the reason they qualified was because they got a free entry.

I've never followed professional Soccer nor have I payed attention to it......but after watching it this year I've kind of got into it. These guys are some serious athletic freaks!

Once you get past that you'll see the skill, the team play/tactics, the dramatic endings, the old rivalries, the tension for the great clashes, the beautiful goals ...
I love basketball, i dunno much about Am. Football, but soccer is a great sport no doubt. And the one and only global sport. Sorry for those that can't stand it.
