We were friends. It's a fucken shame he had to leave us so young.

He was such a great guy. He'd always go out of his way to help you. He was so down to earth and a really smart guy. The guy loved bodybuilding and he loved people. He taught me so much about the sport and life in general. I really looked up to him.

It broke my fucken heart when I heard he passed. I remember where I was when I heard about it. I got a call on my cell and I was just in disbelief. I pulled off the road and broke down in tears for a solid hour. I'm getting emotional right now just thinking about it.

I truly miss him. God bless your soul Trevor.

do you know what he died from? drug overdose, heart attack, self inflicted gunshot wound...

Also (SINCE I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHO HE WAS), was Trevor Smith merely a really big fan that never got into contest shape but would always show up to parties and take pictures with as many pros as he could? Did he ever compete in anything? Did he ever train the pros? Was he a nutritionist? Was he a promoter? Was he anybody in the industry? Again, I have no clue as to who he was, so if one of you fine gentlemen can let me in on his claim to fame, it would be gladly appreciated.

he owned a company called Nuclear Nutrition and had promomted a training style called Beyond Failure Training where you do a shitload of rest pause reps in one set of like 75-100 reps, was supposedly inhumanly strong on Smith machine pressing movements.

Although I've never seen it, I can verify that he did indeed incline press 800 pounds the day before his death.

I believe the reason is because Trevor may have committed suicide due to all the negative comments he got from his message board. The reason that message board and Nuclear Nutrition website was shut down was when his wife posted when his funeral was, everyone started writing some horrible, unbelievable shit about him. She came back to defend him but was ripped apart herself literally. Message boards can be very horrible and uncaring.

If that wasn't the cause then my next guess would be a heart attack. Trevor was over 400 pounds and he was taking 800-900 grams of protein a day or 10 of his MRP Factor shakes. 800-900 grams of protein is way too much and very reckless. I'm sure his kidneys didn't like it.

Yesterday was actually his birthday....RIP
