cutting weight
« on: June 28, 2006, 08:00:48 AM »
is losing 5-8lbs by saturday doable? i'm trying to cut down some weight quick or at least get a jump start on my way down to 195...

208 as of now and usually eat about 6 or more times a day..sandwiches, pasta a tuna mixes, occassionally fast food, etc...and two meal replacement shakes a day..yeah i've been eating like shit lately but hey i WAS trying to get up to 220 or so and have just become stuck where im' at no matter what i take in...

recently i've started fighting..and wanted to see what i would look like and feel like at 195 or so.

so today i've narrowed my fluids down to just water and crystal light for when i get sick of water...a little over a gallon a day as usual.  no teas or milk or anything.

gone from 2 to 3 protien shakes (9 total carbs a day from these alone) lean meats and veggies with numerous vitamin supplements throughout the day to make sure i'm not missing out on anything...today and tomorrow i'm gonna TRY to throw my body into ketosis deeply and then slowly raise my carb count to where i'm staying in it..and only take in carbs an hour or so before a workout to have gas in the tank to make the lifts but my daily juice will hafta come from my fat ass... right now i'm at 14% and want to be about 10ish or hell just drop down to 195 or so and work my way back up slowly and stay lean

do able? my protien intake has gone up from about 120-150grams per day to 200 or a little more during this.  thanks for the input guys..i know i drive ya'll crazy sometimes.

Make sure you get your dairy products in, your body needs the calcium.

If you don't care about what kind of weight you are dropping sure it's possible, athletes who have to "make weight" swing by much more then that in a single night.  Now if you want to drop 8lbs of fat in a couple days, I wouldn't think that is possible.
